Strengths: Simple to use, HDMI output, nice on screan menu, Caller ID.
Weaknesses: some times it looses the sound
Summary: This is my third HD tuner and the cheapest yet. It has HDMI connection meaning that all I needed was just one cable hooked up to my TV. The screen programming is so easy to navigate, that I did not need to read the manual at all to get it going. It also has caller ID and RF (radio frequency) remote capabilities. The remote can be program to control your TV’s volume and input selector along with two other A/V components. I have yet to find anything negative to talk about except that sometimes it looses the sound portion of the picture when there is a brief break during a digital broadcast. In the rare case that this would happen, simply reset the unit. Also the remote is not illuminated, but for just over $160 I wasn’t expecting it. Overall this is a very good HD tuner at a very decent price.
