Strengths: low price
Weaknesses: low quality
Summary: 2004-11-30 13:27:44 The price is really good. For about $40, I got three filters. For the circular polarizer alone, it could cost $30. The downside is the quality. The glass is fine, but the metal frames seems to be pretty rough.

Strengths: low price, handy pouch
Weaknesses: would rather of had a neutral density filter than the 812 warming filter
Summary: I am a video newbie. My original intention was to purchase a UV filter to protect the built in lens on my video camera. I looked into finding one and found this kit. The kit is a good value when you consider the cost of a circular polarizer on its own.

Since purchase I have experienced some internal reflections from the UV lens and some articles say this is common. I may discontinue using this 'protection' per the advice in yet another article.

I wasn't really interested in the 812 Warming Filter and haven't tried it yet. Surely I will utilize the Polarizer once the weather gets warmer and I can get outside with the camera. The case has come in really handy. With the UV filter removed there are two open slots to store the two Tiffen close-up lenses recently got off EBAY.

Bottom line is you can't go wrong with this purchase

3 Star ReviewTiffen 52mm Filter Kit
Strengths: Right Filters, Nice price, Cover Basic needs
Weaknesses: Polarized lens is not clear (blur), shipping charges were high compare how it arrived,
Summary: Price is nice especially when so many companies sell their kits for same price but with linear polarized filter in ( not circular polarizer ). They fit right, and image looks much more natural for inside photography. I disabled in some cases auto flash, and found that picture came more warmer in colors than without filter. Regarding UV, did not tried yet. Nice case to care filters, and even put more if you 're going to use ( for white and black pictures ).

Shipping was to high ( almost $9 ) for simple envelope delivery ( even box has dents all over it - totally messed up ). Overall, it is OK for service, and good for product. If you're not pro, then it will save you money for your needs and accomplishments. Just for some who prefer Japaneese lens, these made in USA ( as far as quality is OK, I personnally OK with this ).

Strengths: Performs well
Weaknesses: Not really
Summary: I purchased this set after seaching high and low for the best deal. I was about to just go to my local photography store when, low and behold, I found these online. You certainly can't complain about the price!! I priced JUST the UV-Haze filter at my local photo shop, and was rather suprised at the price... JUST FOR IT!! When you considerd that you are ALSO getting a polarizing filter AND, the warming filter, that's when this deal really hits home.

So, if you're in the market for a GREAT starter set of filters, I can highly reccomend this set.

Strengths: High performance with low price.
Weaknesses: Not yet.
Summary: You could easily spend $30-50 on just one of these filters. I've been extremely happy with mine so far. I especially love the circular polarizer. Ever wonder how photographers get that brilliant blue sky with perfect white clouds? Try that polarizer (you do have to rotate the filter to get results, mind) and see the difference!

Strengths: Basic filter you need, includes a decent holder, price.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This kit includes the basic filter set that one may need. It also includes a 812 color warming filter to gives your photos a little "orangish" tint (which I like). The cost as a kit (@ $26 from Amazon) is cheaper than buying the pieces individually, plus it includes a decent case to hold upto 4 filters. This will go nicely with my Nikon D50 I just bought recently.

Strengths: Cheap
Weaknesses: lack fineness in frame
Summary: I bought it from Amazon for about $25, which is quite cheap compared to other brand. The kit has 3 filters and one nice bag. The best and most useful one is CP filter. I tried it in my recently purchased Pentax DL ist camera. The pictures taken with CP are much better, the color and it can also reduce reflection. The warm filter is useful when you take portrait. Overall, I am quite satisfied with such a low price

Strengths: Great products, the Circular Polarizer Filter works great on my Pentax ist DL
Weaknesses: Would like to have a different filter then the 812 Color Warming.
Summary: All three filters are well worth the price. The carring case is excellent, not one of the cheap ones that other companies use. You can't go wrong with this set. I will purchase more Tiffen products in the future.
