1 Star ReviewGreat potential... but falls very short...
Strengths: Awesome GUI interface High resolution When it works, it works GREAT! Sound from 4.0V pre-outs is very good
Weaknesses: Crash, lock-up, hang, freeze... Get used to this system's bugs, strange quirks, and SLOW startup times. Slow startup Navi lockups
Summary: Needless to say, the AVIC F-series are plagued with problems. Perhaps Pioneer will get it right with their next 2009/2010 lineup, but for now, please avoid this product.

I had it up and working in about 1 hour, but then the sadness began: all the things people said would happen -- happened: it locked, froze, it would reboot, and the voice control just stopped working. However, when it did work for about 1 hour of my total ownnership, it was pretty sweet! And if Pioneer finds a way to make this a faster, more reliable unit, it'll be THE unit to have without a doubt.

Stay tuned for good stuff from Pioneer, just don't expect this product to be it.

Strengths: This unit is great all over . It does everything .
Weaknesses: Start up is slow and when you press a button it respond kind of slow but this unit is still a 10 .
Summary: Listen , to by-pass your brake switch Read. On your harness with your Jacks onthe end you will have a yellow MUTE wire on the end . Get a small screw driver pr dwn on the end of it and carefully pull the MUTE wire out . Flip harness over and place yellow MUTE wire in the Fourth hole , it will snap in . Next , connect yellow MUTE wire to the green Brake wire . Last , connect the brake wire to the black Ground wire . Now you can watch your DVD on the road Baby !!!!

1 Star ReviewPoor SQ
Strengths: Fun toy.
Weaknesses: Sound quality sucks. NAV locks up.
Summary: I have had this unit for about 6 months. It is usable but often locks up, has annoying popups you have to click through while driving (thats dangerous), the sound quality sucks, and thats about it. Its a great concept that just hasn't arrived yet. Its been a fun toy. I'd rather have my money and my old cd player back.

Skip this one. Its not there yet.
