Strengths: size weight user friendliness looks
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: Very sleek looking MP3 player that has a 5 GB memory which will accomodate all but the most hard-core users. Looking every bit as cool as an Apple IPOD, this MP3 player shines in many areas besides it's great looks. It is very thin, lightweight, and can fit in a shirt pocket easily.

On the technology and feature side, you can transfer music to your Rio by simply "drag and drop" method. The batteries last about 20 hours, and the ear buds produce decent sound. The Rio Carbon MP3 Pearl comes complete with a decent leather case and of course, charging cord. It weighs a mere 3.2 OZ and controls on this unit are easy and logical.

Overall I really really like this MP3 player and rate it higher than the IPOD, both from a looks standpoint, as well as it's interface. You won't go wrong selecting this as your MP 3 player.

Strengths: Small, best looking mp3 player out there. Great case, it has a belt loop and plastic see through covering, and a hole for the controls. Haven't found much wrong, headphones sound great. easy to use
Weaknesses: Headphone cord could be a lil longer. Haven't mastered the controls, not sure if there is a shuffle button.
Summary: I think I made a great choice, the best value for any player out there hands down. Only 170 compared to the mini ipod over 200. they are even coming out with a 6gig model.

Strengths: sleek design, lightweight, compact, song capacity compared to a mini ipod is better, easy to use
Weaknesses: the case it comes with protects it well-but dont try and get it out of there, there aren't many other accessories out there to buy for your rio carbon-cases,
Summary: I really like my carbon- the fact that its different from an ipod, its pretty sleek looking, all the songs it can hold. But as i said, there aren't many additional accessories you can buy- making me somewhat dissapointed

Strengths: Easy to download music
Weaknesses: Difficult to navigate
Summary: I like the compactness of the player and the ease of downloading from CD's. The leather carrying case adds a bit of bulk but provides good protection. I don't particularly like the headphones supplied with the Carbon. After about 10 days of use, the wheel volume control came loose and stopped working; I am waiting for a replacement from the factory.

Strengths: Sleek Design, light Weight, Good Sound effects. Easy to charge through the USB port.
Weaknesses: Not found any as of now..
Summary: Would Recommmend it to anyone who wants an easy way to enjoy a few thousand songs in a sleek compact player instead of 200 audio cd's for the same. Nice audio quality.

Bought it at 249 dollars last month. Since then it has dropped by atleast 50- 60 dollars...
