Strengths: Compact/portable, clean output signal, stereo line-level input
Weaknesses: no pre-amp on input
Summary: I've had the indigo/io for a couple weeks now, and I think it's a must-have if you own a laptop and want better sound. I bought the card because I do some live recording and wanted stereo inputs into my laptop which only came with mono inputs. So far, it's been great. Unfortunately, I mistakenly thought that the input was pre-amped, but it's expecting line-level - this means if you want to record from a mic, you need a power source to amp the signal (e.g., a mixer). Otherwise, the sound card is great.
