Strengths: Sturdy, works as airline carry-on
Weaknesses: Heavy, can have issues fitting in overhead bins
Summary: I bought this to go with my camera bag and set aside the foam for now.
Works great to help protect camera gear as a carry on, though can have some issues fitting in overhead bins on some planes (but the size clears the basic carry-on check).
Very sturdy case, and appears water-resistant as advertised. My biggest issue has been the significant weight the case adds for the protection. Great as a protective travel case, but not something I'd normally cart around on a regular basis.
Would strongly recommend for non-camera uses that require protection, too. The segmented foam would appear to work well.
Just what I needed to protectively carry camera gear, even checking when needed. My OmniTrekker bag fits it perfectly for padding.
