Strengths: Beautiful maple front. Very sturdy. Even larger, but also sleeker in profile, than it looks in picture.
Weaknesses: I called Bush before buying. Spoke with rep who checked the detail sheets to see if back panels were maple. He told me they were listed as so. They are not, but look great anyway. Old specs. Honest M
Summary: I purchased this unit after doing a ton of research. Of everything I saw (and I saw everything) in a reachable price range, this looked the best. In truth, I liked it the best period, even accounting for pricier stuff. I don't like traditional entertainment centers, even all real wood ones. I think they are boring. I like modern. Sanus had one I liked, but not as much. Bello had a few, but dark. I will note that both S and B are more expensive as well. Anyway, I called Bush after picking where I'd buy it. The way I have to set it up, the back will be seen to some extent. That is why I wanted to know if the back panels were real wood. The guy I spoke with seemed like a good guy, sincerely. He was surprised himself (after telling me that they were probably not maple)that he was reading that they were maple on a spec sheet. I'm sure it was an honest mistake, and an old sheet. It has been around a while. I bough the audio tower too, but I havent set it up yet, and the composite base had some damage. Nothing big, but I called Bush again, and got the same guy. Within 3 minutes, he said a new one would be heading my way within two days, UPS g. That was just fri. Today is mon. Bottom line, the thing is way beyond what I had hoped for in my best wishes. It is gorgeous. The tone and grain of the maple front is beautiful. The back panels, though composite, look great as well. Maple would have been better, but it is the back after all. The whole thing looks longer and lower than the picture, and the overall effect makes it look like sleek class. By the way, the reason I am writing this, is because I looked high and low to get a review anywhere. I had been looking at this thing for quite a while before buying, but it's hard to drop the cash when you're just not sure. What I was seeing in local stores did nothing for me, so I was kind of stuck with what I had, which didn't fit all my components well, or taking a chance. I worry when I can't find a review on something that's been around a bit. Like, maybe the picture is a scam. No Sir. Not in this case. The picture doesn't do justice. For real. I hope this helps someone els. I promise, if you like this style, you will not be dissapointed. Wait for a good deal, because the price is real rangey. I won't say what I payed, because you'll be mad. I will leave a review for the Audio Tower (AD27440) later when I get it set up.
