Strengths: black mesh bezel the 120mm exhaust fan:very quiet solid structure nice button push action tool-less install
Weaknesses: 80mm intake fan really needs to go
Summary: This is a great case. For the price I paid(45$) it was a fantastic deal. The mesh feel makes it look very sophisiticated and slick. There is also a side vent that allows better cpu intake. As for the mesh, it allows more airflow and also contains a filter behind the mesh to prevent dust.

Strengths: + Dual fans (120mm exhaust, 80mm intake) + Unique "meshed" front panel allows superior airflow + Ample screws, Mobo standoffs, etc. + Front case lights/panel work 100% + Tool-less design
Weaknesses: - (minor) Limited instructions. Tons of screws included, which is a plus, but no instructions on how to use each (e.g., 2 types of mobo standoffs, plastic square thing, round doughnut thing?)
Summary: This case is really awesome. It was my first upgrade from a micro-ATX case and hopefully my last. The case looks great, sleek and clean looking. Major selling point for me was it's airflow capability. The case includes 2 fans and has a unique front panel design - every open 5.25 bay is covered with a sturdy metal "mesh" panel with a dust filter in behind. Behind the bottom 2 bays is the front 80mm intake fan, which blows air to the 120mm exhaust fan.

Front panel works, same with the blue power and HD lights. It actually included more case wires than my A7N8X-E supported.

The weakness I listed was trivial, because it only took a couple minutes to examine the screws to see what was needed (a little overwhelming at first to see all of the included parts...just note that there are 2 different types of standoffs and 2 different screw sizes.)

This is the way cases should be made - quiet and cool. I would buy again and would recommend it to friends and family.

Strengths: Solid build quality, toolless drive and adapter card installation, quiet
Weaknesses: No slide out motherboard tray. Must remove the side CPU exhaust tube if installing a large CPU fan.
Summary: The Cooler Master Centurion 5 offers a lot of bang for the buck. It's well built and you won't cut off a finger while working inside it. It's compact yet roomy inside and looks good with the front mesh grill and silver aluminum highlights. The case is quiet with the included 80mm front and 120mm rear case fans considering that the mesh front and vented side means that sound will naturally leak out.

Strengths: front panel USBx2, IEEE 1394 x 1, audio in/out, two case fans, tool-free installation, pretty
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: This case is highly recommended. It has all the good features a case should have. The front panel has 2 USB, 1 IEEE 1394, mic/speaker ports. The power/reset buttons are easy to press. The front panel leds are in cool blue color instead of red/green in traditional cases. The installation can be tool-free except setting the motherboard. There are one frontal and one back fan for cooling the system. I cannot find a bad thing about it so far.

Strengths: Lots of space, Tool free mount, Front audio panel, USB, Firewire, Front bezel, lot of room, front and rear fans included
Weaknesses: Tool free mount not too good
Summary: I am using this case for my Q6600 PC and this case has not disappointed me. It is a very nice case, has front bezel for ventilation. The two included fans keep the air flowing. There are two USB ports and one firewire in the front along with an audio panel. Toolfree design lets you mount your HDD and Optical drives without any screws but it took a little while to figure out how to position the drives to lock them in place.

I am very happy with this case and will recommend it.

Strengths: It gets the job done and 2 fans keep it cool and they're quiet. I like the tool-less design, but still they aren't as tight as screws (but fast and easy). Plenty of room and bays.
Weaknesses: No real manual, just some screws and hardware. Side vent/cone is so wide I had to remove it for the cooler I chose (Freezer Pro 7).
Summary: Its a nice case for a nice price. It gets the job done and looks nice. I like the front ports also. It looks professional. Solid case and fast shipping from mwave.

Strengths: inexpensive (rather than cheap), quite, looks good
Weaknesses: bad documentation
Summary: Used on first home-built and has proved a great case. The front panel is a grill with small amount plastic filter behind that. Surprised how quite the system ran even though the grill is so porous. The front 80mm fan blows air over the 4 HD bays which I find nice. Both fans are very quite.

Has blue LED on front cover that is always on (slightly annoying) when system is running and it is very BRIGHT!. The case has no view ports, but for 50 bucks, you can't expect em.

Instructions and general documentation is very cheap and lacks anything resembling information. Besides this, the case is a great buy.

Strengths: Front allows filtered airflow. Great value case. No flimsy front doors. Unit was packed well. Lots of room inside case.
Weaknesses: Would prefer 120mm fan in front rather than 80mm. Front panel has to be removed to install drives.
Summary: This is a good case for the money. It is not flashy with side view panels and other extras. It is a sturdy steel case that looks good. It would be recommended for an easy first build.

Strengths: Cooler Master, unbelievable amount of room, ventilation
Weaknesses: None
Summary: When I received the case today at work and opened it up, the only words that came to mind were, “Why didn’t I buy a dozen of these things? What a nimrod I am!!!” At $35.00 (after one-day sale and mail-in rebate) this case was the best deal I have ever come across in the 10 years I have been building systems. Even at the retail price you really can’t go wrong.

One thing I know is that people I show the final system to are going to be begging to get one built for them (my girlfriend already wants one).

I’ll try to update this review as build begins this weekend (the rest of the parts on their way).

Strengths: Whole front panel is permeated to allow maximum airflow. Foam filters to keep out dust. Metal material is thin enough to be light, but not flimsy. Fat 12cm fan in back gives more flow for less noise.
Weaknesses: Front panel must be ripped off to remove the 5.25" panels. But you only have to do it once.
Summary: I used to have one of those old alienware cases for my old computer. For my new pc, I was looking for something lighter. This Coolermaster case has thinner metal, so it's lighter, but it's still sturdy.

Front jacks for headphone, mic, firewire, and usb are a plus.

This case definitely has good airflow.

Cleaning the filters can be a hassle, as you'll have to remove the whole front panel again.

overall, I'm pretty satisfied with this case. No sharp edges either. It's nice to have a case without a swinging front door on it.

Strengths: looks size 120mm exhaust fan
Weaknesses: weight worthless side exhaust tube
Summary: I ordered the one with blue trim from amazon.com

This case is very clean looking. no laghable plexi window, or outragous lighting. Just a calm blue power light.

Lots of bays.

The case is heavy

The drive bay clamps are convient but flimsy

The cpu exhaust tube doesnt even come close to lining up for my DFI board. Go ahead and buy a little 80mm fan to replace the tube.

Strengths: Tooless design is awesome. Set-up is a breeze. Ample ventillation. Cool looking case.
Weaknesses: Almost laughably poor instructions. The toolless bay for the floppy does not hold the drive in securely.
Summary: This is the first case I have purchased and love it. I upgraded an old computer and switching everyting over was a breeze. The toolless design makes everything simple. The instuructions are almost no help at all, so not a good choice if you don't know what you're doing. I also would like to have seen the HD bays facing outward instead of backwards. It can be a tight squeeze fitting the drives in. Also, the bay for the floppy drive holds the drive in very loosely. However, all other drives fit securely. Great looking case! The ventillation is more than ample and includes a filter on the front mesh screen. Very quiet as well. I would highly recommend this case!

Strengths: Quiet; Lots of room, tool free entry, tool free installation of HD/CD/DVD, easy set-up and good looks.
Weaknesses: none.
Summary: Outstanding case. Tried a cheaper coolmax case that was flemsey and the power switch went out in approximately 60 days. This case rocks. Solid construction! Comes with a 120 mm fan in back and a 80 mm fan that was not advertised in the front. Both operate very quietly. Love this case, comes in blue too.

Strengths: weight, mesh front, air filter, build quality, 2 fans
Weaknesses: noise
Summary: this case is everything i hoped it would be except for one thing: it makes for a much louder computer than i'm used to... the mesh front is great for keeping the system cool (probably one of the best in that respect) but lets a lot of noise out. other than that the case is top notch. it's pretty light for its size, above average build quality for the price, and it comes with a decent manual.

Strengths: Very affordable, roomy and well ventilated with the fonrt mesh bezel, simple to use, plenty of connectors, front panel connectors very helpful, stylish.
Weaknesses: So negligible as to not need noting here
Summary: Without doubt this was the smartest computer purchase I have yet made. This case is astonishing for the simple fact of the abundance of features it has for such a ridiculously low price. With any other case you would expect to pay about double what I paid for the Centurion ($55 including shippping after rebate).

The layout inside is a treat and unlike some reviwers I wasn't too unahppy with the absence of a mob tray. Access from both side panels is more than adequate for all jobs except a complete system upgrade.

You get five externally accessible 5.25" bays, four internal and one external 3.5" bays - all with a neat slide connector that does away with the need to secure your devices with screws. The rear pci slots also have easy operating locks that dispenes with the need for fiddling with screws to hold cards in place.

I was very pleased with the front panel which gives you mic and headphone jacks, 2 USB ports and a firewire port. This was a great selling point for me (no more crawling around the back of my desk to plug and play with USB devices such as my flash drives).

Very pleased with the included 120mm exhaust and 80 mm intake fans - along with the side vent these keep the inside atmosphere cool enough to run a Prescott without any temp issues and are actually quiet enought for me to run audio recording apps using these fans.

There are only three real quibbles I have. The brief instructions that come with the case and don't really help as you wade through all the screws and mobo jacks. However it doesn't take much work to figure out what needs to go where.

Some people will be put off by the absence of a power supply with the case. And indeed the price-point alters dramatically when you have to obtain your own. But if you're building a system you will appreciate the flexibility this allows and therefore it is actually a plus rather than negative for the Centurion.

The other issue I had was the tool-less design. Well it is - if you don't want to access the front drive bays. You need to jimmy the front bezel off to get at these from the front, and this was the only disappointing design aspect. But it really wasn't an inconvenience and considering what you get with this case it just was not a problem.

This case is the basis for a whole new build system I've just put together and I cannot speak highly enough of it. The aesthetic of the case is superior to the low end Lian-Li's, with five esternal 5.25" drive bays knocks the socks off anything by Antec that isn't three times the price, and in functional terms surpasses all competitors with the ease of operation.

The Centurion even wipes the floor with many of CoolerMaster's other cases, including the Wavemaster.

This really is the business as far as affordable and feature-packed cases go. It will take some convincing now to move me away from the Centurion, and I urge anyone with an interest in buying a new case to seriously consider this one as your first port of call.
