 Abysmal battery life Strengths: Works pretty well on mains power. Fairly cheap.
Weaknesses: When working on battery power, kiss your work goodbye after only 70 mins.
Summary: Where I work we got a batch of 32 Toshiba Satellite Pro A300D-13S notebooks.
They come with a battery rated to 4000mah. The battery life on them is the worst I've ever seen in a new notebook, and I work in network support and see a lot of notebooks.
The average battery life under normal use (i.e. web browsing, word docs etc.) is around 1 hour 10 mins.
1 hour 10 mins.
Brand new computer.
Brand new battery.
We have notebooks that are 5+ years old with better battery life than these.
Not only that, but even with Toshiba's own "Power Saver" utility installed, when low on power they tend to just die instantly. No standby, no hibernation, just OFF and say goodbye to your work.
I will never order or recommend Toshiba laptops to anyone in future.
Avoid.
