 Problems with Allied Telesis Warranty Strengths: Solid when working
Weaknesses: Product support ripoff - see comments.
Summary: We had 2 out of 3 of these switches experience a failure in the power supply units within 3 years of purchase. In attempting to get them replaced under the "limited lifetime" warranty, we found out what "limited" means to Allied Telesyn. We were told "This is a chargeable repair for a total of $ 130.00 ( $ 65.00 per unit)". What a load of you know what.
Obviously a problem with the external PSUs. It appears the newer units have internal PSUs, but with the company's attempt to profit from the failure of their product, I'll never buy anything of theirs again.
