Strengths: Excellent color, great tech support
Weaknesses: Couldn't find any
Summary: Love the colors and the appearance of a 3D picture that is HD. Hung it on the wall, but had to call SONY's hot line as we weren't getting a signal. Their rep was very throrough and we found it was the cable box's problem. The HDMI connection was not good and COMCAST informed us this is a common problem with their cable boxes. So if you get a new cable box have them test it before you set it up. It will save you a lot of time.

Strengths: Smart looking, great picture and sound, easy to setup.
Weaknesses: None yet
Summary: We couldn't fit a 46 incher, so we had to go for a 40 or 42. After the research I found that we could buy a 42 for about the same price as a 40. The problem was the lack of reviews on this TV. We installed in on a cable TV line directly without the cable box. It could not have been easier. Installing the pedestal was a snap! We plugged the TV in, and the easy to follow programing guide had us setup in minutes (except the time the TV needed to self install the analog and digital tv channels. That gave me time to do the unmanly thing of reading the instructions. The TV has great sound, top quality picture and is easy to operate. All of our older components (amp, dvd player and vcr) were previously connected to the old TV on a SONY coaxial line. I just inserted that line directly into the yellow video in plug on the new TV and all worked perfectly! This TV has more HDMI and video and component inputs than I will ever find a use for.

Strengths: Very good Picture and clear sound
Weaknesses: Some times the people on screen seem very broad shouldered, in other words fatter than they really are.
Summary: So far we are very pleased with the Sony 42V4100 TV. We did our homework and compared all the TV's on display and by far this one had the best picture. We highly recomend this TV to any one looking for a great TV at a reasonable price.
