Strengths: Brand Name, worked great, auto shutdown software, lot of outlets
Weaknesses: Size and formfactor
Summary: This is a really nice backup system. It has all the features you really need and good software. I trust APC because we also use other APC products at our office. I just tested this out and it gave me about 15 minutes of battery backup on my system before it shut it down. I have a 19 inch flat panel monitor and a system with 4 hard drives, 2 cd-roms, and a bunch of other nic naks. I performed great and I would highly recommend it.

Strengths: Power of battery.
Software monitoring package.
Number of power connections.
Price.
Ability to protect coax and telephone and 10/100BASE-T connections.
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: 2006-06-15 18:37:55 Ordered as a replacement for a smaller UPS by another manufacturer that had begun to fail. I had a smaller APC UPS years ago, and it is still working to protect my media center. This new one was easy to install, and seems to be working very well, as I've already ridden thru one power failure. There is no noise nor heat being generated by the unit. It was the first UPS that I could afford that offered lots of backup capacity, as well as co-axial cable surge protection.

Strengths: enough power to last computers over 30 minutes;
easy set-up using the usb/data cable provided;
alarms can be adjusted
Weaknesses: bulky - it is a battery anyway;
connect battery before using it is a little difficult;
Summary: I used 350VA before and saw this on sale for $80 and bought it to replace 350VA. The 350VA is a piece of junk - not even providing enough power to run my computer one second. This 750VA is much better than 350VA - well, price-wise, it should be. I admit that it is a little bulky on the desktop, but I managed to put it aside in the corner. Not very noticeble. Set-up is easy enough except when connecting the battery - need some efforts.
Overall, a good product can last a few years. :)

Strengths: 10 outlets. 5 are battery backup. Compact. Long battery life.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: 2005-08-17 15:02:14 This is a must have to protect expensive computer equipment. The 10 outlets (5 battery and 5 surge only) are more than enough for your PC and its peripherals. Long battery life and the famous APC warranty protects your investment. It's like having life insurance for your computer.

Strengths: Large capacity. Easy to use. Works for even a power hungry computer like mine.
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: I had a small 350 rated battery backup that I got as a gift for last chistmas which was ridiculously bad. It had no way of communicating to my computer or me when the battery ran low and even when it was charged, could not keep both my computer, which is admittedly power hungry and my monitor powered for more then 30 seconds.
That being said, I set off to find a much better one and found it with this model. I was lucky enough to get this while on sale. I now have approximately 30 minutes of battery time with this UPS which is more than enough.
I've never been a fan of using included software if WinXP can handle things itself. So when I initially hooked it up, I was surprised to see it recognized not as a UPS, but instead as a battery like what you would see for a laptop. So I made my computer act like a laptop in the case of a blackout by setting it to hibernate after 5 min of battery usage. I tried it out and it worked. Just one more piece of software I don't have to install. :)
It also has ports to allow for Cat5 and Coax but I haven't bothered with making a small jumper. I have worries that it would introduce ingress in my coax line into my TV or my capture card in my computer. The instructions and box are very veig when talking about the Coax and Cat5 ports and only says it provides surge protection.
Overall, a great product. You can't go wrong with this beast of a battery.

Strengths: Brand name, dependability, compact size, good software, ease of use
Weaknesses: Outlets placed a little too tightly together
Summary: Very good and dependable battery backup for your small office needs. Have tried many other brands and no name brands of backup systems, but those others just don't measure up to this APC model. The ease of use and software round out a very nice package. Gives me a lot of time to shut down properly when I'm working on important documents during power outages. Peace of mind is priceless...highly recommended.

Strengths: 5 backup ports, coax, and data port protection.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I was able to backup my tower, flat panel monitor, speakers, modem and router. Then I put my other tower, monitor and speakers into my other APC UPS which only has 3 backup ports (and I've had it several years).
The power cord is a good length and this product comes with a little velcro strap that I used to secure the power cord after I had what I needed to use.
I like the fact that the data ports, coax ports and power cord are all on one end of the product, that makes it easier to either hide all the connections or have them where you can see them all.
Software installation was a breeze on Windows XP Home Edition.
I registered my product on the manufacturer's website so I wouldn't have to bother filling out the little card. Quick and easy!
I would recommend this product because I have had a good experience with my other APC UPS and I know that the brand has a very good reputation.

Strengths: 10 outlets gives you great expansion opportunties.
Phone, DSL, & Cable surge protection a huge plus to protect you modems.
Weaknesses: Kinda bulky... but hard to avoid because of what it can do!
Summary: Really great to have 20-40 minutes of time to work and finish important tasks after the power has gone out. Also from past experience, it does a great job of protecting the computer when the power is flicking during a storm. This is a must buy!

Strengths: Powerful. Handles everything.
Weaknesses: NONE
Summary: Replaced a pair of 350's with this ES-750 unit. Works great. Running scanner, printer, Fax machine and a new Dell XPS 400 w/19" flat panel. Using the 350's now to back up our portable phone and alarm clock/night light :))

Strengths: Great system
Weaknesses: Only one phone line v. two line protection
Summary: 2006-06-21 12:20:28 Great system. Only one phone line v. two line protection. Excellent value. Would buy this item again.
More than enough surge protected outlets are available for the user to use and I am very happy with the unit. Easy to install, instructions are simple to follow.

Weaknesses: only 5 outlets are protected by the ups.
Summary: This product allows to surge protect just about everything that your computer can connect to. the only problem is that only 5 out of the 10 outlets are battery backed. size of the ups is alright.
