1 Star ReviewThis unit constantly freezes while playing dvd's. ...
Strengths: The only good thing was that it was priced low for a combo unit but I guess you get what you pay for.
Weaknesses: Fresh out of the box, I played a brand-new dvd of Lord of The Rings and the dvd began freezing 1/2 way through the movie. I tried it on about 8 more dvd's over a 3 week period with the same results.
Summary: This unit constantly freezes while playing dvd's. The vcr worked fine. I am returning the unit for a refund and will look for a better product.

Strengths: Easy to use.
Weaknesses: Picture quality so so, flimsy, unreliable.
Summary: This was a very disappointing purchase. The first one we received had a non-functioning DVD player. The second one works, but the quality of the picture is noticeably worse than the first! Right now it continues to work, but I am very disappointed and am almost counting the days for it to break so I can buy a new one! I have owned a bunch of Samsung electronics in the past, and this is the worst purchase I've ever made. I would not recommend this DVD/VCR player to anyone, and I would not buy it again.

Strengths: Combo drive, less costly than other name brands, easy to install
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I found this drive very simple to install, took less than 10 minutes. Everything comes with the package - cables, batteries for remote, etc. Overall, pretty satisfied with this product.
