Strengths: Good power, crisp detail, dioptic focal control.
Weaknesses: Not a Meade "Flagship" product. Some quality sacrificed.
Summary: The Meade 16 x 32 is one of best values in binoculars available. It is perhaps one of the highest power available of the compact roof-prism style before you get into the larger side-prism two hand grip models. The clarity is good, though not ruby-coated crystal clear. The focus ring has a considerable amount of play. The dioptic focal control is a nice feature and one that is not prominently advertised. The 32mm field is taken up by the power, so no real gain here. Close ups are rather shaky, but tolerable. Haven't had an opportunity to use in bright sunlight yet, but it's acceptable in cloudy weather.
The "Made In China" label is evident in the workmanship, but for the price of the product, you could have a lot less binocular. I highly recommend this product.
