Strengths: A very well built LCD monitor with a good viewing angle and a bright clear display. A good price for an LCD with 16 ms response time.
Weaknesses: Factory default settings for brightness and contrast were set to high out of the box, I had to turn them down 15 to 20 percent.
Summary: I am a gamer. I shopped for an LCD monitor for over a month befor deciding on this BenQ FP767. The main attraction is the 16 ms refresh rate which is essential for gaming. The thing I like about the FP767 is how bright and clear the screen appears. Text is sharp down to a scale of 8 points. The monitor is comparable to models costing upwards of $600.00, yet I purchased it from Newegg (thru Pricegrabber) for only $384.00 (including shipping). Anything under $400.00 is a great price for this monitor, so buy it and you won't regret it. It far surpasses the Viewsonic CRT I was using. I noticed that some sites publish an incorrect spec for this monitor, the correct contrast ratio is 500 to 1.
