Summary: I though that I was purchasing a budget TV because of the price but I am amazed at the out of the box quality of this unit. I have a great HD experience with remotes that operate everything the way they are supposed to, including the HDTV-PVR Receiver remote which also controls the TV.
I was especially impressed by how nicely this TV monitor functions as a PC Monitor - Via a 3 meter (10ft) PC-to-Monitor extension cable the wife and I plug our MacBook into the TV and sit on the couch playing games together. Something here of interest is that the laser pointer we have used in the past to point things out to each other when we play literally disappears when it hits the TV screen! The light absorption of the screen is so excellent that it is no wonder glare has not been an issue!
Bottom line - we love it. Highly recommended.
