Strengths: Well matched to GM's original equipment mounting brackets, Great mid & high range characteristics. Excellent sounds for a modest priced speaker. Sound noticably exceeds original equipment. Weaknesses: As with similar sized speakers, base may be less than desirable for some tastes. Summary: I Looked at many replacement speakers before ordering Sony's XSW4621 speakers. All things considered, I am very satisfied with the performance they deliver from my vehicle's stock AC Delco radio. Fit in just like the original GM Delco 4x6 speakers. And they are 4 ohm speakers -- just like the originals. Weaknesses: They sounded worse than the 20 year old speakers. Despite being two way speakers, they sounded less brilliant, more dull, and had less top end that the 20 year old speakers. Summary: 2005-08-16 18:49:33 Don't believe the Sony or vendor hype about how these speakers will sound better than your 20 year old speakers. They just don't perform.
