 Strike 3! Yer Out! Strengths: Really easy to use.
Weaknesses: Breaks after about 1 year
Summary: 2005-08-20 12:13:17 I've owned three Ultimas over the past four years. All three have lasted just a little beyond the manufacturer's warranty of 1 year. I would consider myself a moderate user as I pull two double lattes every day, 365 days a year. The first two units developed a leak in the pump chamber. The third unit had an electrical blow-out and just went dead without warning. Too bad, because I really like this machine! It is super-easy to use; You start by putting a scoop of coffee into the funnel, rotate the top assembly, push down the tamper, and turn on the pump. When your done, you rotate the assembly again and the grounds are dumped into a holding chamber; no need to bang the filter handle into the garbage after each pull. I can crank out two lattes in under ten minutes.
Oh well, three strikes and yer out!
