Strengths: * Reliable Performance * High power in 0.7 cu.ft. Range
* Easy set-up * More control panel features
Weaknesses: * Too heavy (30.6lb) * Bigger size
* Poor styling * Does not work on Dual Voltage
Summary: I bought this product because of two main reasons: - Quality & Performance on Sanyo Products. - Low price than Competitive Products. The set-up is very easy and control panel instructions are very clear to start with. The two annoying features to me in this Microwave oven are Size & Weight. I have not compared with other products, but these parameters are too big for 0.7 cu.ft.. Another drawback is it doesn't work on dual voltage. Styling is a kind of old. Despite of above problems, this is a very good product for Home and office use. I can trust the technology of Sanyo for product longevity. Power level setting for Time cooking is an added advantage. Quick set child lock feature is available if one desires. Direct access cooking buttons are available for baked potato, popcorn, pizza, beverages and frozen entrees. Price is far less than other good brand ovens in this range. Overall, I am happy with this product and recommend this to others.

Strengths: Price; small footprint; Digital Controls
Weaknesses: Small cooking area
Summary: A great gift for a student moving into a dorm or new apartment. I like the looks and design of the microwave. Cooking power is sufficient for most things. I got it for $28.99 at Best Buy. You can't beat the bang for the buck....

Strengths: Reasonably priced item which is solidly build and backed by a known manufacturer. Full featured and has an appealing modernist design.
Weaknesses: Best used for smaller jobs.
Summary: A wonderful purchase for anyone with space limitations or someone who requires the preparation of smaller portions. Well constructed, designed and has features usually only provided by more expensive units. Fits into small areas yet provides enough power to handle most everyday cooking chores.

Strengths: Low price and a reliable microwave for everyday use for a small family
Weaknesses: power of the microwave is not as high as other high power microwave and the volume is not as big
Summary: I have been using this microwave for almost 3 months. It has been very reliable for warming up leftovers, popping popcorn, etc. So far I have been very happy with it. The price was very decent as well. It is a good buy for a student or for a small family. I have found that It does take a little longer cooking time than my previous 1100W microwave from Panasonic. For example, It took me 1.5 minute to pop popcorn, while this one takes me close to 2 minutes. And the volume of the microwave is not very big, so if you have a family with more than 3 people, you might want to go for a more powerful and larger one. But with all this said, this is a very good microwave.

Strengths: Easy to use. Compact design. Digital display.
Weaknesses: N/A
Summary: I have been using this microwave for two months. Excellent performance. It looks nice and compact. It is heavy considering its compact size, but I don't move microwave around. That's not a problem for me. BTW, I bought it at bestbuy in late July and paid $50. In the early August it went on sale for around $30. I wish I have waited for another month. Overall I am glad with this microwave.

Strengths: easy to use, digital
Weaknesses: weight, loud when in use
Summary: I bought this microwave at Best Buy for $28.99. The digital push buttons are very easy to use. The only problem I had was getting the microwave out of the box. The microwave is heavier than other models that are the same size. When the microwave is running it is louder than other models that I used. Overall, I think the strengths outweigh the weaknesses and I would recommend this model.

Strengths: small/compact, easy to use, low price.
Weaknesses: heavier weight compare to other microwaves. (Sanyo)Not that branch name.
Summary: I got this small microwave for 4 days already, so far nothing wrong. I bought this for only $39.99 at Bestbuy. This microwave has the disk in the middle to move the food around, and I was surprise when I pick up the box, it is so much heavier than other microwaves even the bigger one. It is perfect for individual use or work place, but it will be too small and weak for a big family. Oh and it is very easy to set it up and used it, I don't even look at the manual.

Strengths: turntable, low price
Weaknesses: small, heavy
Summary: Grabbed this microwave on sale from bestbuy... for a very low price. It was quite heavy but it's not that large. My unit was made in China. However, it has a turntable which cheap microwaves often lack. Sanyo is also a decent brand. Used it a couple of times without any problem. On eyear warranty. Great buy!

Strengths: low price, good quality, good performance
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: The EMU1000W is a reasonbly well-built compact unit that seems to do everything Sanyo claims. It heats as well as any other 0.7 cubic foot microwave I've ever used. I really like the pre-programmed cooking modes and the timer feature.
Several reviewers have "complained" about the EMU1000W's heavy weight. Sometimes extra weight is an indication of heavy duty components that can lead to increased product life span.
I would definitely recommend the EMU1000W to anyone looking for a compact microwave.

Strengths: Did not take a lot of space and quiet operation. Quality feel on the control panel.
Weaknesses: None. Maybe a little heavy.
Summary: Its mall volume makes this oven ideal as a backup. It is also very quiet in use. It even has a timer for other cooking needs. Highly recommend based on initial experience.

Strengths: small, easy to fit in an office; powerful.
Weaknesses: none.
Summary: 2006-10-17 09:03:51 It is small but powerful, enough for heating lunch in the office. Although it is a little bit loud in use, it should be bearable if you only use it occasionally. Well built, very solid.

Review on EMU1000W Compact Countertop Microwave (0.7 Cu. Ft., White).
Strengths: Compact, 6 direct access keys for popular foods, 10 power levels, Child lock-out
Weaknesses: Not good for large quantities, Takes longer time even for small quantities
Summary: I'm happy with the product. Though it takes longer time to cook some foods but its pretty small, doesn't occupy whole lot of my counter top and its very handy with all direct access keys. I'm not sure if it's good for a family but should be nice for students and bachelors for the price.

Strengths: compact, easy to use, digital display is convenient
Weaknesses: not big enough for a big family
Summary: It is good for singles, especially for students living in the dorm. The compact microwave oven occupies a small space. And the functional buttons such as popcorn, baked potato or beverage, are enough and useful.

Strengths: great value, compact, good for college
Weaknesses: loud, heavy
Summary: Although it is a bit heavy, it is a great value for any college student or a home with small counter space. It is a small microwave so you may have to re-heat large plates or put food into smaller plates that actually fits the microwave.

Strengths: Compact.
Good Power relative to the size.
Weaknesses: Not good for large family.
Summary: Obviously everyone who needs a microwave wants to buy this with such a good price at $28.99. We just moved to a new apartment and this is a perfect new addition for us. My first impression is that it's pretty good looking and compact. The functions are just the normal ones nothing special. If you have a large family you won't want this, but for a small family it's great for the price and quality.
