Strengths: slim, light, cheap, plays all mp3s (even VBR).
Weaknesses: does have a very infomative screen. cannot fast forward an mp3, only skip.
Summary: I got this player recently, and it meets most of my expectetions. It finds all mp3s in a CD-R even with

different type files in the CD and well buried in

a dir structure (although the manual does not

recommend having subdirectories).

The only drawback is its primitive interface.

Only album (dir) and song (file) numbers appear

on the one-line screen. You can skip between

album and/or files, but you cannot fastforward

while playing an mp3.

Strengths: Radio, weight, battery life, sound quality.
Weaknesses: few
Summary: I just bought this device. So far it is a great piece of equipment. My one complaint, is that it does not have the "resume" feature, where you can stop the player and start it again at the same point in the track.

Strengths: I DOESNT SKIP

I RECENTLY REPLACED THE ONE PANASONIC 50$.

WITH ONE THAT HAS AM /FM TUNER

I REALY LIKE IT.THE SLIM X I WAS GOING TO GET COST 125$ PANASONIC COST 60 WHITH FM/AM TUNER.

IT MAYNOT HAVE ALL THE FEATURES OF THE SLIMX

IT STILL SOUNDS GOOD.JUST SUPPLY HEADPHONES WHITH

GOOD SOUND.I WAS TOLD BY A SALES PERSON.ITS NOT

THE CD PLAYER THAT SOUNDS BAD.ITS THE HEADPHONES

GREAT SOUNDING PHONES CAN MAKE A DIFFERNCE.I USE

RADIO SHACK/KOSS TITANUIM MODELNO PRO 35.

ITS GREAT WHITH THIS MODEL.
