Strengths: Great sound. Lots of features. Steering wheel remote.
Weaknesses: Poor random. Cumbersome menu system. No WMA support.
Summary: I was the proud owner of a Pioneer DEH-450MP for about a year. It puts out a pretty nice sound, especially for the price. It is an attractive unit with a nice display. My biggest complaint is the random feature. If it happens across a song you are not interested in, skipping ahead to the next track will do just that. There is no way to advance to a new random track. It's a small gripe, but it was definitely noticeable. Also, the menu system is somewhat cumbersome. Menus do not time out quick enough. After changing one of the many options, i found myself having to press 'clock' to get out of the menu. Again, a small but noticeable gripe. The remote is well designed and clips on to your steering wheel. A number of EQ presets are available as well as one custom setting. My DEH-450MP was recently stolen and I will be replacing it with the Panasonic CQ-DF583U, but I did enjoy my time with the DEH-450MP.
