Strengths: MP3, 12 cds, never skips, great sound quality, two controls a wired and a wireless remote.
Weaknesses: Takes a minute to change disks.
Summary: The sound quality is awesome, it depends more on the quality of the mp3s and speakers than the cd changer. I have a mach 460 system with my mustang convertible and I'm in heaven with the top down and volume up.

This is the best system you could buy. Retails for around $155-170. Plays all my mp3 disks. No need to dump your old stereo and get good sound quality.

I fixed the changer my self, all you need is a voltmeter and some tape. I removed the factory stereo, spliced the wires to setup the changer.

The changer takes a minute to change disks. If you press the cd change button by mistake, you are stuck for a minute. A minute is too loooong....

In all the changer is a very good buy. I have looked at other mp3 changers like the sony one but they had lots of problems with skipping and cd recognition. If you have a car you are in the market for this changer.

Strengths: Great sound, 12 CDs!, rugged
Weaknesses: controls seem a bit small and not intuitive. But really not bad once you get used to them
Summary: We have not had this unit long but we took a 3500 mile vacation recently and played it constantly. We heard 36 CD's once - and many 2 or 3 times! We like to camp and traveled many back dirt roads including one that really should have been marked 4 wheel drive only. Through it all it never skipped even once.

Strengths: Ease of installation and use.
Weaknesses: Still looking...
Summary: I did a lot of research before making this purchase. I wanted a CD changer that I could add on to the existing factory stereo. I also wanted one that would play CD-R, CD-RW AND MP3's. Of all the models that I looked at the JVC had the most features in the smallest package. I love the fact that you can put 12 CD’s in there and have up to 120 HOURS of music in one magazine. The sound quality is excellent and the ability to change frequencies is nice if you go on a road trip and encounter a radio station at 88.1 FM. The instructions are well written and the only hitch I had during the installation was because there was no fuse box under the dash. I ended up splicing the power leads into the stereo wiring harness and it plays like a dream. In short, this is a great system with lots of features and at a great price. It also comes with a 12 month parts AND labor warranty. Sounds like a winner!

Strengths: Has never skipped! Easy to install, looks great, flawless!
Weaknesses: My only complaint is the display isn't visible unless you look at it straight on. If you mount it next to you you can't view it well. Other then that, none!
Summary: I mounted and set this up just like it said and i've had no trouble whatsoever. Just do it like it say's and you'll have hours and hours of audio enjoyment! Quite the bargen for your buck!

Strengths: never skipped since i bought it, works great, sound quality is ok just turn off BBE.
Weaknesses: range on remote is weak, too many damn songs, dont have enough mp3's to utilize the whole 12 disc magazine haha
Summary: i was reluctant to buy this at first since the guy w/the corvette said it skipped alot & that was the ONLY review around at the time. took the chance & bought it, couldnt be more satisfied! just need to get more mp3's! ony using 8cd's right now since it is my whole collection.

overall: best bang for the buck!

Strengths: Nice CD player, easy to install.
Weaknesses: Skipped a few time reading MP3 cd's
Summary: Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Missing a part, and JVC refused to send a replacement. Said I had to purchase it. Last JVC product I will ever buy because of the terrible customer service.
