Strengths: Clear reception, comfortable headset, good noise canceling microphone, easy to use.
Weaknesses: Voice sounds just a little muffled on the other end.
Summary: I really enjoy this unit. It makes moving around while on the phone very easy. People sound very clear on your end, and your voice is clear but just a little muffled on their end. The headset is VERY comfortable to use and wear. I have had no problems with it. It may be a little pricey, but I think it is worth it.

Strengths: Compact size, range, headset comfort, headseat options (over the ear or over the head), caller ID, and muting.
Weaknesses: I miss having a speakerphone but I can live without it.
Summary: I purchased this item about two weeks ago to use in my home office. I am extremely happy with my purchase. The phone is not much larger than a pager and clips securely to my waistband or belt. The headset is extremely comfortable and I should know I wear it for 6 hours or more some days. I love the muting feature too. I'm often on conference calls that are informational only (where I don't ever speak) so it is great to dial in, put the line on mute, and walk around the house or even outside. The range is great and the headset has a convenient feature where a little light illuminates when the phone is in use. No more of my wife asking me if I'm on the phone! All in all this is a great unit that I would recommend to anybody. Don't waste your $20 getting a headset for your bulky cordless phone...instead upgrade to one of these.

Strengths: Easy to use and setup
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This cordless headset phone is the greatest. I have owned other brands before but the Plantronics headset is far superior. It is lightweight and extremely comfortable on either the headset or earset. The sound quality is excellent.
Highly recommended especially at these great prices.

Strengths: Long Range, comfortable headset, good noise canceling microphone, easy to use, Channel selection
Weaknesses: The Over-ear Headset is not that comfortable, and the keyboard is too small, and it's not lightened, so it's hard to find the right key, especially in the dark.
Summary: 2005-08-16 19:42:20 Got this about two weeks ago to use with my VOiP phone. I am extremely happy with my purchase, it's my 4th wireless phone product (not cellular), and it's the best I have. I like the headset which is very comfortable though the Over-Ear option is not so good, I don't use it anyway.
The phone book and the muting feature are helpful. The range is great and the headset has a convenient feature where a little light illuminates when the phone is in use.
The function of channel selection is wonderful. It interfered with my wireless network at first, and after switched the channel twice, they work together flawless.
Highly recommended.

**UPDATE**
This completely interfered with ...
Strengths: **READ UPDATE**Lightweight and has a has an amazing phone book for storing important contacts. The range is terrific, I initially tried this at work in a warehouse and was satisfied.
Weaknesses: My unit has a faint "fishtank" buzz when you turn the headset volume to High. The keybad is NOT backlight only the LCD is. This would've been a useful feature for the price I paid ($80+).
Summary: 2005-06-09 10:40:26 **UPDATE**
This completely interfered with my Linksys 2.4 Ghz wireless G connection. When the phone was in use, the wireless connection failed to stay connected. I have since returned the phone and bought a 5.8 Ghz cordless phone.
**END OF UPDATE**
I recommend using this phone's specs as a guideline on the type of portable headset unit you'd like. If you have this phone on you wishlist, keep shopping around until you find ALL the features that make a portable phone worth the money. I'm keeping this phone because it looks really cool and I rarely use my home phone, but when I do I'm usually moving around the house. I'd like to think that Plantronics will quickly realize that a backlit keypad is a useful feature for home and home office users. IN the everday office, this is a good phone and the range/connection has been reliable, still you should try to shop at a place that will let you hear the quality and feel the quality of this phone before choosing to buy.
I hope this helps.

Strengths: LCD screen is great for caller ID. Phone book feature.
Weaknesses: Clip is not very user friendly, not flexible like the CT10. Need to look at LCD for mute indicator vs. having something that beeps in the background like the CT10.
Summary: Overall, very good product. Would be nice if there is a similar phone for multi-line phones. Phone book feature isn't too useful unless one can easily import contact names instead of entering them manually again. This is especially needed if one have multiple CT12 phones.

Strengths: Slick design, higher frequency, LCD to view caller id and phone book features.
Weaknesses: Power adapter makes a lot of buzzing noise, but may have a defect power adapter.
Summary: Love the LCD screen; also have the CT10, but I like the design of CT12, like the phone book feature and others. Better clarity as well. Recommend CT12 over CT10. Headset is nicer, more versitile (can hear over head or on one ear, light at end to show headset tip when activiate.

Strengths: Good form factor, sound quality, excellent feature set
Weaknesses: No multi-line option. Belt clip sucks.
Summary: 2005-01-27 20:23:53 This phone system sounds pretty good, and is a far cry of an upgrade from plugging a headset into a minijack on a cordless handset. It's much more compact and the sound quality is superior. Now if I could only find a way to switch two lines into the unit.
It may sound nitpicky, but the belt clip design is kind of a big deal. The whole reason I got a cordless system was so I could walk around hands free.
The "Firefly" headset sounds excellent and the blinking mouthpiece actually does keep people from attempting to talk to you while you're on the phone.

Strengths: Small, Caller-ID, speed dial, head-set options
Weaknesses: Some feedback in headset, no option to use without headset
Summary: I had a previous model of this phone that I stopped using because it did not have caller ID. I have been using other cordless phones (i.e. GE/V-tech) with headsets, but none have the quality of the Plantronics. I was pleased to see that they finally developed a model with caller-ID.

Strengths: Quality of Sound, Size
Weaknesses: None
Summary: The CT12 Phone is an excellent cordless phone. The sound quality is above my expectations. It is very portable. We love the ability to speak on the phone hands free with the headset. This is one of the best.
