Summary: 2005-08-16 10:08:44 It's the only see-through one so you can actually see the name of the company on the chip inside (the thing that stores all the data). It is commonly known that SOME of the other Sandisk and even Sony memory cards are not original but copied in China. You wouldn't know if they were original or not because the casing is opaque and therefore cannot see if the chip inside says "sandisk", "Sony" or some chinese factory.
So be very careful and suspicious when you get a "good deal" for a memory stick that is opaque and you cannot see the actual chip. China is copying everything nowadays and even the packaging for fake memory sticks is perfect to the very last detail. They work fine...but the warranty is void if it isn't really the company it claims to be. So the see-through Sandisk one, like this one, is the most reliable.
However, memory cards are expensive right now...2gig ones are coming out very soon and then after that 4gig ones. By that time, the 1gig ones will be obsolete in comparison.
