Strengths: Tubular metal armrest frame leads to increased strength connecting seat to backrest. Very nice quality and feel.
Weaknesses: Expensive, but worth it. Arm rest height cannot be adjusted.
Summary: I've seen numerous workstation chairs come and go over the years - often after a fairly short lifetime.
Most of the 'plastic composite loop' armrest chairs I've come across tend to crack and thus support for the backrest fails - meaning the chair itself is inevitably doomed. Chairs with adjustable armrest height have chronic issues with back support due to their design.
When you are spending a few hundred dollars for a chair, you want something that is going to last. There's a lot of crap office chairs out there selling for $300 or more.
5 different positions for reclining comfort, and sturdy HON construction thoughout make this chair well worth the money.
The chair is well cushioned and the fabric is tightly bound over the padding. This is not a 'cushy soft' chair, but it is a comfortable chair and the padding is more than adequate.
The armrest is where I was sold on the HON Mobius. It has a sturdy tubular metal armrest frame smartly integrated into the back of the chair. This armrest loop won't be cracking and leave the integrity of the chair in peril.
The trade off is having an adjustable height armrest, but I've seen too many chairs fail due to poor support of the backrest to justify spending a few hundred dollars on a computer chair that does not have 'bomb proof' construction.
I'd suggest matching this chair to an adjustable height computer workstation. The armrest height is fine with me, but to maximize my computing comfort I need to adjust my workstation to the chair.
All in all I'm very happy with this chair. It's very well made, and looks to be a very sturdy design.
