3 Star Review.hack conclusion
Strengths: Same strengths as previous three iterations of the series, aka Mimic of MMORPG online world, good story.
Weaknesses: Same gameplay mechanics/graphics as previous three incarnations of the series
Summary: Well, here it is. The final chapter in the dot hack quadrilogy. Is it everything we had hoped for? Well, i won't give away the ending - but it was satisfying after playing through the last 3 games.

Really though, its just a really long 1 game RPG. Do you think that is worth paying 4 times what a normal RPG costs?

That is the question you have to ask yourself. Its definitely a unique style with the faux MMORPG setting. But its not the best story out there.

However, if you are a fan of the series, you do get yet another DVD with a .dot hack episode on there to add to your collection.

Overall, if you already played through the first 3, you pretty much have to buy this(good marketing on their part).

If you are just researching buy the whole series, you may want to look elsewhere, unless you are a true fan of the RPG genre.

3 Star Review.hack Quarantine
Strengths: A fun title, conclusion to a great story, additional anime DVD
Weaknesses: No improvements from the first 3
Summary: Quarantine is the 4th and final installment of the four part series ".hack". Quarantine does a good job wrapping up the storyline and bringing a conclusion to the immensely long adventure. I definitely enjoyed the story behind the game and I'm sure most fans of RPG's will too. However, with the exception of the storyline, I could find no reason to really enjoy this game. After trudging through hours of gameplay on parts 1-3, forcing myself to play through another disc was like pulling out my perfectly good teeth. The feeling of "been there, done that" was all too relevant and the gameplay just became monotonous. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who just wants a conclusion to the story, but just be forewarned... you're in for some headaches and boredom.

3 Star ReviewThe final episode... finally!
Strengths: Great RPG, good animation, lots of battles and items
Weaknesses: Very little improvement over the previous three "episodes"
Summary: When I played the first .hack, I enjoyed it thoroughly. When I played the 2nd and 3rd, I realized there wasn't much improvement since the first. It was almost the exact same thing, just a continuation of the story. But being the completist that I am, I went ahead and played on and now I've finished the final episode- Quarantine. Was it worth it? Eh... the story was good, but spending hundreds of hours of fighting battle after battle just gets tiresome or dare I say... boring. Now, this isn't to say that this was a bad game at all. As a matter of fact, Had I played this game first, I would have enjoyed it immensely (although I might not have understood the story too well). But like I said, if you're playing it just for completions sake, don't expect anything new. The battles are pretty tough and the animation is pretty cool, but it doesn't match some of the more modern day RPG's (like FFX-2 for example).

I would recommend this game only to those who have truly enjoyed the series and have not yet tired themselves of it. Or, if you are just starting out, but don't want to play the first three games first, that's fine. Just read up on the story through the first 3 games, and then play on. Either way, I only give this game 3 stars.

Strengths: Story and gameplay
Weaknesses: same as the first 3 games
Summary: This is the last part of the 4 part series. The graphics of this game is pretty much the same as the others. It should be improved. Best thing about this game is the story. The gameplay also. The story makes the game interesting and thats why they kept on making the parts. The bad part is that you have to buy all 4 games in order to finish the story. They all pretty much played the same. I will recommend to hardcore RPG fans out there.

Strengths: concludes excellet series
Weaknesses: Same as first 3
Summary: This game is the last in a four part series that simulates an online game world. It is an action RPG. You again take the role of Kite, with the help of his friends, to uncover why people are falling into comas. The gameplay is good, the story is great, and the characters are awesome. Veterans of the first three games will feel right at home with this one. The game is longer than previos .hack games but is still short. Great game.

3 Star Review.Hack: Quarantine Part 4 is a action/RPG for PS2. ...
Strengths: Finale to the four part series, story, gameplay, sound, dvd episode, and world.
Weaknesses: Graphics, whole series could of been released as one game, and the game hasn't changed much since the first one.
Summary: .Hack: Quarantine Part 4 is a action/RPG for PS2. The unique thing about the .hack series is that bit tries to mirror a MMORPG, but the game is not online. It does a great job of mimicking the online world. This game is also the final part in a four part series, so if you stuck through the other three parts you should finish it then. The major drawback to this series is that all 4 parts look and feel the same. Nothing has really changed other than the story progressing. Which is kind of a ripoff for a $200 game (that's all 4 parts).

Additionally, you get a 30 minute anime episode that goes along with the game.

Give the game 3 stars for being too pricey and not updating much in the game past story.
