1 Star ReviewNice color screen & large 20GB capacity, but beware usb connectiion problems
Strengths: Nice color screen, large memory capacity
Weaknesses: A little bulky, intrusive & useless software, connectivity issues with pc
Summary: The samsung yh-925gs is a hard-drive based m3/wma player with a large 20GB hard drive. It supports line-in recording & displays photos, along with playing mp3/wma songs. It does NOT connect automatically to a pc like other external drives. Instead, it needs some proprietary drivers & utilities from Samsung which also insists that we install the napster software from the CD. In any case, it has serious connectivity issues and we were only able to test the player with the pre-loaded songs. Going back to the store. NOT RECOMMENDED !!

1 Star ReviewBought the product on the recommendation of one of ...
Strengths: Never had the chance to find any
Weaknesses: Their driver software is not yet compatible to Windows XP with Service Pack 2
Summary: Bought the product on the recommendation of one of the "Best" consumer electronics stores. Meant for my daughter's 18th birthday present. My daughter liked the 20 Gig capacity and the color screen.

Couldn't get it to interface with my brand new 4 month old desktop computer (PC).

1. Tech support said I had to upgrade to Windows Media Player 10. Downloaded and installed upgrade. Didn't work.

2. Tech Support said make sure the USB plug was firmly connected to the cable. "Push until you hear it click." Didn't work.

3. Tech support said that according to their notes the hard drive was defective. Returned original unit to that " Best " retailor. Brought home replacement.

4. Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers.

5. Tech support said that there is a problem interfacing with computers running XP operating system that has been upgraded to Service Pack 2. They said they are trying to work on patch agreement with Microsoft. Might be available by June 2005. How many PCs in the world currently using Windows XP have upgraded to Service Pack 2?

6. Shoved everything back into the bag and got my money back.

7. Uninstalled their software and reset my registry to a date before the purchase.
