Strengths: easy to use software, headphones comfortable, liked armband Weaknesses: I have returned 3 units to Philips in 1 yr--each one with a different problem, each one with minimal wear and tear. The website is awful, customer service slow and frustrating. Battery life also poor. Summary: After reading endless rotten reviews of this product this year, and having dealt with that awful website and slow customer service department, I will never buy another Philips product again. I have never had to return anything before and I am bummed that I had to go months waiting for a new unit to come and having to send back each one--what a waste of time and money. Weaknesses: Software does not seem to be compatible with winxp! Battery life poor, but I use rechargeables, so that's not really an issue. Wish it had more memory. Summary: Need better download software, or an updated driver that is compatible with winxp. When I was using win98, everything was fine. I mostly appreciated the fact that the quality of my tracks depended entirely upon my ability to produce a good recording. Never skips. Great sound. I'm satisfied with it overall.
