Strengths: Great for making prep work in quantity for parties or a get together
Weaknesses: Takes up space on the counter
Summary:

The Cuisinart is a nice appliance to have if you need to cut, shred, chop, and slice fast but cleaning the blade attachments by hand can take up some of your time.

If you need to cut a few vegetables then it is best to cut with a trusty knife.

I bought this to chop and minced meat. It did very well. Although you need to be careful not to over minced or chopped it. Be careful to shield the white surface with some cloth or paper towel because if you use it to shred any vegetable such as beet or carrot, it can stain the white surface base.

I'm glad they include the free videotape which is very helpful. It is pretty much easy to use once you get a hang of it.

The performance is great. Hopefully it will last long.

Strengths: Two piece blades, lightweight, DVD instruction disk
Weaknesses: Does not appear to be the same amperage as the earlier DLC-10E that it is replacing. Made in China.
Summary: We purchased this model to replace our DLC-10E which is about 30 years old. The bowl on the old one cracked and although I ordered a "direct replacement", it did not fit properly and my wife finally wanted a new one. While physically very similar to the older model, this one is a bit lighter and has a thinner AC cord. That would lead me to believe that the motor is not quite a durable as the earlier one. That may be a bad assumption on my part. The newer model uses a modular system. The drive stem for the disks slides and locks into a plate on the bottom of the disk. This makes for a sure interlock. The system also makes it easier to run the blades through the dishwasher as there is no stem getting in the way. If this unit lasts as long as the prior one, we will be quite happy. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality processor at a reasonable price.

Strengths: Extra accessories, great power
Weaknesses: Ugly design and small food feeder
Summary: This one is my first food processor. Did a research online and found out that this model seems to be the best among its level (mid-size). Well, 7-cup capacity is OK for one or two people, but if you host party from time to time, it might be too small.

I know it's the "classic" model, but gee, this processor really looks like 1980s stuff. Good thing is it has 5 year warranty with a lot of accessories. You can chop, slice even dealing with flour and stuff. I have to whine about the small food feeder, which makes you pre-cut a lot. Other than that, I'd say this one is pretty good.

Strengths: great quality, does the job very well
Weaknesses: could use more accessories, need to buy them separately
Summary: I got this to as I got tired of chopping vegetables manually, what a time saver! I also use it to grind meat. Great build and quality. The only drawback is add-on accessories are quite expensive.

Strengths: powerful enough to make dough.
Weaknesses: Bounces around at times, blades can be difficult to clean completely. Bowl is small.
Summary: 2006-11-08 13:52:07 A solid food processor. I've owned 3 Cuisinart food processors over the last 20 years and they've all worked great. Slicing cheese can be messy as the blade can be difficult to clean. This processor is perfect for general chopping/preparing but concider a bigger bowl if you prepare larger quantities.

3 Star ReviewBuydig offers it expensive than Amazon
Strengths: Great product, excellent for kneading and chopping, doesn't heat too soon
Weaknesses: could be better in design, buttons, not too fancy looking
Summary: Amazon offers the same product in "$99 with free shipping". Invariably everything Buydig has despite their low price claim is atleast $10 above what you could get at other sites.

Strengths: Solid
Weaknesses: lack of speeds moderate size
Summary: This is an excellent food processor. It has a nice array of accessories. It's easy to disassemble for cleaning, and it's very solidly built. The only drawbacks -- and I think they're minor -- are that there is only one speed and that it's only a 7 cup bowl. On the other hand, the one speed has worked fine for me, and the bowl handles most of my projects in one batch, anyway. Highly recommended!

Strengths: powerful and multiple attachments
Weaknesses: none
Summary: We have been in need of a decent food processor for some time now and I remembered from working at a well known fast food chain in my youth that we used Cuisinart to prep the food. The units we used were much bigger of course than this unit but scaled down for household use, this processor packs just as much punch as I remember. There are several attachments that help you whip, chop, slice and dice which helps eliminate the need for an additional, seperate blender on your countertop. We made some meatballs and after chopping the onions and adding the meat and other spices we were able to knead it all together with the kneading blade. Eliminated extra time and use of utensils and bowls. We are pleased with this product.

Strengths: Good for family cooking
Weaknesses: Cleaning is big mess Needs more cutting blades/accessories
Summary: Overall for a price like this its a very good buy. Will save time and energy in cooking, but will have to use some of it for cleaning it.

So unless you want to spend double the price of this for a Kitchenaid, it is a good buy!

Strengths: Comes with a wide assortment of accessories making it useful for a large number of tasks and the 7 cup size makes it just right for a small family.
Weaknesses: I don't really like the color of the machine (white easily gets stained). All accessories are too expensive so if anything breaks it would cost a lot to replace.
Summary: I have used this to knead dough, shred carrots and other odd jobs in the kitchen. I wish it also came with a mini bowl (like similar Kitchen Aid models do) to do smaller jobs when needed. I was looking for a fine shredder blade and was shocked to discover that costs a third the price I paid for the whole machine. Crazy.
