 Never buy Craftsman Rechargable Power Tools Strengths: Work great while the battery lasts. Usually three to four months and then can no longer be charged.
Weaknesses: Cannot find replacement batteries.
Summary: I have returned three Craftsman drills because there are no direct replacement batteries. the generic batteries usually don't quite match. If you can find them, the cost is prohibitive. A complete unit with two batteries, charger, case and drill is available at the same price as two batteries. I have excellent luck wit my DeWalt batteries. They stay charged and I can find replacements.
