Strengths: -quick response -picks up on signal from all angles -comfortable fit
Weaknesses: -left mouse button in the back; you end up accidentally clicking it all the time
Summary: The strengths of this presentation tool allow you to roam freely through the room while keeping attention focused on you presentation:

Its major weakness is an inconvenience, but not a major problem:

-left mouse button in the back; you end up accidentally clicking it all the time

Strengths: Does what it is supposed to. Works well. Modest in price. USB receiver fits in presenter when not in use & turns it off
Weaknesses: Some may find placement of laser-pointer button less than intuitive, but it is easy to get used to. Beam on laster pointer is a bit thin.
Summary: I have used one for well over a year and just purchased one for a friend. This is a very good product that has a modest price. It is very easy to use on a PC portable when running PowerPoint during a presentation; no software is required with Windows XP. I have plugged it into a wide variety of computers, both here and in Mexico; it has worked without a flaw. The fact that it does not require that you point the presenter directly toward the receiver is a big plus relative to an earlier generation of presenters. The unit is small and light--easy to handle and to carry, fitting nicely in one's pocket. I find the placement of the buttons intuitive, except for maybe the front-top placement of the button for the laser pointer; however, this button being red in color is easily distinguished from the others and it is easy to get used to where the button is located. I like having the presenter and the laser pointer in the same unit, instead of needing to have things in both hands. The laser pointer beam is a bit thin but certainly adequate. One of the very nice features of the presenter is that when not in use the USB receiver fits into the body of the presenter. This keeps one from misplacing the receiver and also turns off the presenter, thus preventing the accidental running down of the battery when the presenter is not being used. Battery life seems good and the replacement batteries are easy to find. This is a great buy. In my case, had I not been so pleased I would never have purchased a second one to give to my friend.

Strengths: Highly Affordable Laser Pointer Superior Range RF Frequency Control Permits Slide Forward and Reverse Additional Buttons to Control Mouse Ergonomic Grip Extra Trigger Switch
Weaknesses: No Extra Buttons to Control Programs. Aesthetically, Not Impressive in Appearance. Only Comes in One Color.
Summary: I have used a lot of controllers in varying price ranges, and this one for me was the easiest to operate and the overall best. The Pilot Pro, which runs on one lithium watch battery and which comes with a Laser Pointer, is probably one of the best values on the market. It is almost impossible to find one of these gizmos under $50 with a laser pointer, and this one is packed with everything you would need for slide presentation.

Compared with comparably priced units, the Pilot Pro has superior range capabilities, boasting 50 feet, and utilizes RF frequency, eliminating problems and obstacles encountered using infrared.

Unlike many units in its price range, the Pilot Pro permits the user to manipulate the presentation slides in forward or reverse with designated buttons, dispensing with the need to utilize the Windows Pop-Up or the PowerPoint on screen controls. Moreover, the Pilot Pro even has a mouse button that enables the user to manipulate the on screen cursor with ease.

Additional attributes are the ergonomic grip and the extra trigger finger switch to advance slides.

3 Star ReviewNot bad for presentation
Strengths: Long distance transmission. Feels good in hand. Plent of controls for presentation. Bright pointer.
Weaknesses: Mouse controler and buttons are not comfortable or sensitive.
Summary: 2007-11-27 01:45:37 Over all, it's a useful product for presentation. Plenty of buttons and controls. Although not very compact, it feels good in hand. Mouse control is hard to use. Might hurt your thumb if you use it often. Also, the buttons are stiff. Don't know if they last long.

Strengths: Light Weight, Covenience of sticking the USB Transmitter inside, Egronomics Design, Simple
Weaknesses: A Few programmable button in the back Probably, Laser not too Bright
Summary: I use it as a handheld mouse. The leftclick button is nicely positioned in the back-side (use index finger) and the rightclick button is the round button looking birdseye.

Truly Plug n Play. The rotating dial gets a little time to get used to but it is nice. I don't use the Laser Light often but it's not very bright.

I use it to watch movie and sort through playlist.

Strengths: It is nice to have a USB and remote that combine for traveling. Laser pointer is bright. Range is as advertised or greater. Many buttons are intuitive and integral for presentations.
Weaknesses: Battery life could be better. Construction could be more steady.
Summary: Good piece, all in all. Pleased with product. Definitely a good value for the price. I would suggest a higher cost product if money is not an object. Happy with purchase.
