1 Star ReviewJohn Wicklund
Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: I have had three of this model. Each one does the same:turntable grinds up and tilts while turning, sufficient to spill liquids.Defective design.
Summary: Unsatifactory performance from the first time this model was used. Small size with a turntable is an asset but the defective performance makes it a poor product. I wouldn't recommend it.

Strengths: GE tag
Weaknesses: 'Pull open' door
Summary: We got this microwave as a gift for a newly married couple and they really liked it. Its hard to go wrong with a name like GE. My only complaint is the 'Pull open' door which becomes difficult sometimes compared to the 'Push button' doors on other microwaves. Other than that, this does its job.

Strengths: Reasonable price, does the job well, very easy to use.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: I've been using this microwave for two months, and it's been wonderful. I don't have much counter space, so this was just the size I was looking for. I don't heat any liquids, just refrigerated and frozen foods on plates and trays, and I've had no problems with any sort of tilt in the turntable. The cooking times can be a little longer than a bigger microwave, but this is to be expected. The display and all of the buttons are very intuitive. Overall, a great value for the price.

3 Star ReviewGood product
Strengths: powerful, space save
Weaknesses: looks cheap, review not so good
Summary: I bought this microwave 10 days ago, it works well till now. Although it is compact, it is powerful. I just saw others review that it won't last long. If it could last for 3 years, that still good for the money. Anyway, it is not bad.

Strengths: Turntable, LED (instead of LCD) display that's easy to read, easy to use, controls easy to figure out
Weaknesses: As other reviewers have mentioned, slight movement in glass plate on turntable
Summary: So it seems like the big negative is the turntable that moves. You just have to make sure it is in place.

To be honest, I only use a microwave 1-2 times a week for quick reheats of frozen food. The rest goes in the toaster oven, the real oven, or on the stove. This unit gets the job done for frozen pizza (already baked) and TV dinners, of which is the majority of my experience with this model. Cooking times seem reasonable, nothing super fast though. Again, rapid speed is not my primary goal in a microwave.

I paid $40US and it was one of the lowest priced microwaves around that still had digital controls and carried a name brand. Hopefully it will last the next few years until I upgrade to something bigger.

3 Star ReviewCompact GE Microwave
Strengths: Monochromatic exterior.
Weaknesses: Fragile carousel design.
Summary: This model replaced a Sharp that was slightly larger and more powerful. The GE takes longer to cook/defrost and the carousel does not like loads that are off center. The new controls are easy to use and the fan/motor is very quiet.

If we get 4 years of trouble-free service, the GE will be a steal at 45USD.
