Strengths: Great screen size, stores lots of pictures and videos and can interface with desktop. I love this phone, it does everything I want it to do (memos, emails, etc.) I couldn't wait to get this phone.
Weaknesses: Too bulky in size, could be slimmer. Takes a bit getting used to, in terms of handling the size. Keys malfunction within one year of purchase- rigth when the warranty expires.
Summary: I would purchase the Treo 650 again. It is the best smart phone on the market -- GPS and touchscreen are a plus, not to mention all of the other great features. I bought my Treo 650 from Palm. Would be great if they had a exchange program. Would ensure customer loyalty. I currently have a Palm Pilot and a broken Treo 650 in my possession.

Strengths: Great PDA, very clear sounding phone
Weaknesses: Strange "feel" at first, it is Palm first and a phone second
Summary: I really enjoy having my Palm and phone all-in-one. The phone part is a little difficult to get use to, but overall I am really happy so far.

Strengths: Palm Pilot and phone in one. Syncs with Mac computers. Easy to read touch pad for dialing phone numbers. Has Bluetooth. Can use Jabra Bluetooth products with it. Can surf the Web/check e-mail with it.
Weaknesses: Would like to be able to use Graffiti (writing with the stylus) for data input.
Summary: PalmOne has a first class PDA and when combined with a cell phone, even better. Only limitations are cell service but that is a problem with carriers not the phone. I bought an unlocked version so that it can be used with any cell service carrier. Leather case (sold separately) that is customized is very nice (and sturdy).

Strengths: All-in-one. Excellent features, love the blue tooth and touchscreen.
Weaknesses: Weight of unit
Summary: Upgraded from the Treo 600 recently to the 650. Absolutely love my phone. Bluetooth is definitely an awesome feature to have. 650's Camera and screen have better resolution when compared to the 600 model. Slightly heavy but definitely a "best buy". Purchased at PCsuperdeals.com....Highly recommend the vendor. Item was as promised and was shipped quickly.

Strengths: Decent Signal Strength, SD card port, MP3 player, photo viewer, Palm's simplicity is entact, expandable
Weaknesses: Still a little big, could be slimmer, resets by itself occasionaly, updates could be simplier, louder volume.
Summary: I've waited for this product a long time. A decent sized Palm device that also doubles as a phone. Treo's 650 is the best I've used so far. It could be slimmer, but for it's size, it does pack a strong punch. Not to include its MP3 player, photo viewer & video player, I also subscribe to MobiTV & have streamed TV channels on my little screen. It has a wonderful SD card slot which makes transferring media & data of all kinds a snap. It is easy to use until you have to update the firmware, but at least they are updating it. It is the best smartphone on the market & it could only get better.

Strengths: Can do everything from surf to the internet to take pictures, to play mp3's. Many compatible palm software titles.
Weaknesses: Does everything but not incredibly well. No Wifi or GPS.
Summary: 2006-06-22 12:29:29 One of the first noticable things about the Treo 650 is it's very high resolution screen for a smartphone. Although this screen is great for applications, it is hard to get used to using it to surf the web becuase of its vertical aspect ratio. Most webpages are designed to a horizontal ratio. It has a camera but it is only 0.3 megapixels which is OK for quick photos of friends but does not come close to a digital camera. I also noticed that the mono speaker on the back of the phone is pretty good. Although mono it can reach a pretty high volume. The keyboard takes some time to get used to but eventually can be used with one hand. Although not very beautiful it has it's astetic appeal in certain aspects. In conclution it's not bad (better screen than the Treo 700w) but now their are a bit better options unless you love the Simple Palm Interface.

Strengths: PDA,camera,video, real player, games,
Weaknesses: sometimes people on the phone with me mention they hear an odd noise, doesn't last long but it is annoying for them to listen to. Hanging up and redialing seems to do the trick.
Summary: I love my 650. Being a stay at home mom of 3 full time school kids, I am organized thanks to this phone, beaming with other parents for play dates, and taking videos/pictures of my kids events and emailing them right away to my husband at work. When required the games feature has helped to pass the time with the kids. I bought a 1GB card and have more than enough memory now. My husband has a blackberry (blah) and I very much prefer my 650 over his any day. I just recently downloaded a bunch of applications for fun, including music. I enjoy the MP3/real player feature of the phone and it came in very handy during our trip to Maui and listened to my music while tanning on the beach. Not sure what to do about the occasional noise disturbance but the fantastic features makes up for this. I should be getting a commision from Palm for helping to sell their product to friends and neighbours!!!!!!

2 Star ReviewGreat PDA - not a great phone
Strengths: Palm os
Weaknesses: Horrible if you use it alot in your car. Keypad is either on screen and difficult to dial or on the micro keypad and impossible to dial. if you use the phone a car it is a great pda and a bad phone
Summary: I would not purchase this phone again. I had a samsung sph i500 and it was a good phone but constantly had to be reset or the memory dumped etc. This is a good palm and a bad phone. I am actually thinking of going back to a "phone" and a palm....seperate.

Strengths: Accepted in all GSM Networks around the world PDA Palm OS
Weaknesses: Not succesfull in connecting using the Bluetooth interface.
Summary: Excellent product. I'm using it for 5 weeks without any problems. I paired it with the Treo Bluetooth Headset. Perfect. Excellent screen, the keyboard is great to use and the PDA functions could be accessed with one hand.

Only 4 stars because of the lack of internet connection with the bluetooth interface.

Strengths: Small and sleek design, good phone reception, light weight
Weaknesses: No flash on camera
Summary: My first Palm phone was the Tungsten W which combined a PDA and phone in one, which was great for me. Unfortunatelly the Tungsten W was the worst thing that Palm could do.

I gave Palm a second chance and I purchased their new Treo 650 and I can only say that I am glad that I did. It's not as bulky as my old model, it was 3 times the features and it's more customizable. Also the fact that is not locked for a network it means that I can keep on using even if I change my cell phone provider.

The camera/video and audio features work well and I purchased and extra 512MB card that gives me a lot of storage. The only weakness that I found is that the camera does not have flash so most of the pictures are dark. I have to keep on reading the instructions to see if there is a way to adjust the camera.

Strengths: Easy to use form factor, pointer detection on cue, buttons easy to manage, simple, great reception, speaker is clear and loud,
Weaknesses: no wifi, if you like slim fones this is not for you(its huge), if not updated phone locks up, slow and bad reception, antennae breaks easily, hard to upload images and games, not for mp3
Summary: great but you have to get used to it. i thought it was huge at first but after a while i got used to it and can't replace it. Simple to use, but the learning curve on computer software is enormous. had to update a million things and download a couple of programs to get the right one to upload images and games,

If you want to listen to mp3's this fone is not for you as it only supports 2gb sd card, no wifi capability, and online mode is super slow especially for email in terms of what's out now

2 Star ReviewGreat look but not so sturdy
Strengths: Nice look and easy layout, like the computer interface
Weaknesses: Not very sturdy.
Summary: I bought a new Treo 650 early this year. Loved the computer interface and the display. However, in about 6 months, the connections at the bottom of the unit started messing up. The screen soon went totally blank. I bought another one on line for less than half the store price. It still works but I have some weakness in the buttons on the lower left already. This could be a great unit if they would use a USB type connection (or something sturdier) for the bottom of the unit.
