Strengths: Ease of use, layout of controls, Kenwood-quality sound reproduction, eXcelon 2 yr warranty (as opposed to normal Kenwood products 1 yr warranty), expandability
Weaknesses: The only weakness I have found thus far since ownership was the odd crossover value for your rear channel RCA pre-outs
Summary: Those of you looking for a reason to step up to Kenwood's eXelon line of in-dash receivers, look no further! I did, and simply stated, this deck ROCKS. 3 sets of RCA outs.....front/rear/and non-fading for subs. Internal, individual crossover settings for each set of pre-outs. Level adjustment on the non-fading set. Bass extension adds approx. 20% boost to low-frequency output. Adjustable contrast makes it easily legible in most any lighting (or lack thereof) Dimmer control to accent your interior lighting changes when the headlights are turned on. You want tons of music on one disc and own a computer? MP3 capability is grrrrr-REAT. I currently have a disc with 204 total tracks on it. Fit that into a 10-cd changer and have it automatically display the title of each and every track it plays! A user-settable code for security as well as a detachable face make this unit very thief-unfriendly. Add to the long line of features a 2 year warranty on eXcelon products as opposed to the normal one year on regular Kenwood car audio products and that leaves you with a worthy product by anyone's estimation!
