Since it is usb, can be used on laptops as well. Weaknesses: Software/installation issues. Summary: Overall a good product, We will keep it. Makes gaming with surround sound enjoyable and the other people don't have to hear it. There are some issues with software installation, we occasionally get a series of clicks. On my wife's computer, she has to boot with the headset connected in order to get the microphone in it to work. 100% of People (2/2) found this review helpful. The microphone is a separate plug-in item. 2. The MP3 connection requires a small (provided) adapter. You just KNOW that both of these are going to get mislaid! 3. The sound control is positioned close to the computer--and not close to your hand! 4. The sound control is the ugliest large black box, with two huge ugly red buttons. And, to top it off..my headphones would not work on an MP3 player! The 5.1 to stereo adapter lost the sound to one ear! The USB connection, in the computer, was certainly outstanding. Weaknesses: Volume control moves in the smallest fraction - But still 5 stars. Summary: 2005-07-28 10:54:02 Great product. I use them in a room with a fair amount of background noise with my computer and now hear things I didn't know where in the games. UPDATE; Be carefull with the mic plug-in.
