Strengths: Wide screen, good battery time
Weaknesses: Cheap-looking touchpad
Summary: This laptop has a wide screen (15.4" diagonal), making it great for watching movies. I would have liked it if the screen were TruBrite (brighter), but the normal LCD screen is good enough. Since this is a Centrino machine, you would expect an outstanding battery time. In practice, however, it is around 3 hours (with WiFi enabled and working), which is not excellent, but very good nonetheless. I find that the touchpad/buttons feel cheap. Note that the maximum amount of memory this laptop supports is only 1GB. Even though it isn't common to use that much RAM in a laptop, this contrasts with the fact that most modern Centrino laptops support 2GB. The keyboard is comfortable enough and I think the multimedia controls next to the keyboard were a nice addition!

Strengths: Wide keyboard, big screen, integrated wireless, multicard reader...the lot.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: I use this for work...and I love it. The company issues Dell Latitude and Inspirions...hate them.

Contrary to the previous poster, the 3 hour battery life is fine with me. If I'm flying over 3 hours I limit my work time...too much work makes Jack a dull boy.

I really can't find any major drawbacks to this machine.
