Strengths: The pictures are beautiful. Even with just an 8 megabite card you get a close to 5 min of vidio and sound. it is very easy to carry and you can stablize it with out much problem.Controls are simple.
Weaknesses: The screen would be better if it rotated around.I also wish it had more zoom instead of just 2x digital.
Summary: I am a multimedia student and need to have a digital video camera on me at all time. I love the fact that the camera is smaller and lighter than my wallet.I use the camera for video projects in my Adobe Premiere class and for photos for my other classes. Everyone wants to borrow it. It is very convenient and takes beautiful pictures.The price and the simplicity of this camera makes it the perfect camera for people just getting into digital.The interface with both the computer and the TV is very easy. The fact that it uses two standard A batteries is a god-send.All that you need to do is get some extra memory cards and batteries; and your off taking vidios and pictures. I personally love mine so much that I just bought the DV3000 which is the same camera except with 3.1 mega pixals. The sound out of the camera when you are viewing it on the built in LCD screen is very low but it is easy to enhance both on the TV and the computer.There are two different resolution settings but I always use the higher one because I need to be able to play with the pictures and vidio and I personally find that the more pixal I have the more I can do with the picture or vidio.
