kteare Member Since: Jan 2007 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 3 Days	Sony Portable dvp-fx820 Strengths: Screen swivels around and can lay flat while playing DVDs much like a tablet computer. Easy control buttons vailable even after the screen is folded flat. Weaknesses: Speakers sound tinny. Non-widescreen only uses 6.5" diagonal of the screen real estate. Added costs: remote and AV cable - both items not necessary while mobile. Summary: The best feature is that the screen swivels 360 degrees and lays flat to make for a very compact console while in a vehicle. The swivel hinge feels strong and should last a while with young kids. Even though it comes with a remote, the onboard control buttons are right below the LCD which is wonderful when it is flat making operations a snap. Great screen resolution for a low price unit. Summary: 2008-11-13 10:21:48 I purchased this dvd player for my 4 year old granddaughter's birthday and she absolutely loves it and can operate it all by herself.
