great when it's working
Strengths: 5 CD changer
Weaknesses: service from Samsung
Summary: I've had this system for 11 months. It worked great, nice sound, but then one day the tray for the CD's wouldn't retract fully into the receiver so it was useless for playing dvds. I was really happy to realize it is still under warranty, so I went online to Samsung and filled out the request for service. Part of the form said it costs $55 dollars to ship the unit to them, which is ridiculous - it's very light, so I chose the option that said I'd ship it myself. After filling out their long form and scanning my original receipt for them a little box popped up that said to wait because it was "processing". Well, I waited for 1/2 an hour. Noone's website it THAT slow, so I went through the whole process again. Same result. I emailed their customer service dept 10 days ago and haven't heard anything back. Now I'm online looking to just buy another receiver.
So, it works great if it's working, but don't expect anything from the 1 year warranty.
