1 Star ReviewThis POS will not run DirectX anything. Doesn't se ...
Strengths: It will display windows
Weaknesses: Everything else
Summary: This POS will not run DirectX anything. Doesn't seem to support OpenGL in any shape or form either. Oh, and by the way, Good luck getting any kind of tech support. They treat you like an idiot, send you an FAQ then if you still have problems (like any reader of Maximum PC should be having problems in the first place) they want you to reply to their e-mail then take at least 5 days to get back... (I'm guessing 5. I'm still waiting.) And all of the tools that 'offer' help on the forums (probably readers of this mag and maybe part of their tech support) need to understand from someone's ungodly technical post, that after just having purchased this card, I shouldn't need to borrow a friends G4 to check out if his works on my system or not. I'm giving these buffoons another 3 days, then filing a BBB complaint, gonna try and get an RMA and buy from a real company. This company is just plain insane. My recommendation is a big 1 outta 10 (it will show windows but God's blessing for anything else.)

Watchdog needs to bite these peeps hard.

3 Star ReviewOk this card is worth the money in the end its AGP ...
Strengths: This card is fast enough to keep you playing all the new games out right now if you have a good enough system backing it up.
Weaknesses: Fan is verry noisey you have to rewire it to get rid of the noise... Takes two minutes and will save you a headache
Summary: Ok this card is worth the money in the end its AGP x8 128mb DDR ram and comes with all the overclocking features you could ask for FPS are always above 60 in all the games I play, and i'v never had a game freeze on me yet i keep my memory speed at 594mhz and the core at 300mhz. the heatsink and fan are more than enough to keep it cool even when over clocked to the maxx. the only problems i had were when i ran 3D Mark 2003 Bench Mark i scored 754 which if you know the progrm that is horriable. i ran the same bechmark on the ATI 900pro AGP x4 and i got 1754, thats a little over 1000 points more and its only half as fast when compared to TI4200.... Go figure.....When it comes to specs the TI4200 is amazing and the performance well speaks for its self, i guess in the end i was only disappointed by the benchmark results....

Strengths: Quiet, loads of software
Weaknesses: Sort of expensive, but worth it when factoring in the software
Summary: Purchased with MSI motherboard, both red and look great. Installed no problems. Website offers live updates with latest drivers. Loads of software. The graphics on Morrowind are amazing. So far games run smooth. I've had maybe 2 lockups during game play, but who knows if it's the cards fault. Settings allow you to easily overclock which I have not done. Next year I will buy DVI LCD and use video editing propertis, so can't comment on that yet. You might can find a few cards cheaper, but all G4 4200 have same hardware, so extra cost is for software, great cooling and overclock ability.

Strengths: Excellent theoretical capabilities
Weaknesses: Fan is loud as hell!
Summary:

I was completely shocked when I installed the video card and noticed that I could no longer hear my stereo playing because the volume of the fan from the VC was so loud. The card's specs are great, but I frankly couldn't listen to the noise for more than 30 seconds. I am sorely disappointed...hopefully this is just a defective card...

Strengths: Powerfull, inexpensive, good shader support, MASSIVE HEATSINK, great for overclocking (currently have mine running at 600MHz ram, 295 core, for the past two months)
Weaknesses: not as powerfull as I hoped it would be, but gawd, this card is nice if you are upgrading from a non Ti card :)
Summary: I personally liked the MSI model the best, mainly for the heatsink. It is compleatly copper, and looks bloody weird, but works REALLY well Costs about $330 canadian after tax, but its worth it
