3 Star ReviewI got this camera because of its size and weight ( ...
Strengths: sub-compact size, lightweight, reasonable resolution, macro feature
Weaknesses: poor quality in bad light, poor battery standby time, small memory.
Summary: I got this camera because of its size and weight (only 40g). I think it's the smallest 2Mpix camera available. There's even a 3M mode, but it's interpolated, so I wouldn't bother. The size is very nice, I would still prefer that lens does not extend that much, it would be more convenient to carry.

It gets decent pictures in good light conditions outdoors, otherwise it gets unacceptably grainy. It's also quite slow in the 2M mode, so it's rather for still images.

The memory is 16MB which I find too little for a day out,

but it's fixed, so you cannot expand it. The fixed battery is adequate for this memory, but gets flat after several days even if you don't take any pictures, so you need to remember to recharge it, which is sometimes awkward. It charges through its USB port, so you need a computer to charge it (quite a heavy charger to carry sometimes). On one hand this is simple, on the other you don't always want to carry your notebook with you if you're travelling light, or in extreme conditions.

It's so small it's sometimes hard to point correctly at the target - one needs to get used to it.

The provided software could have a better designed user interface. It only works with Microsoft windows.

Other features include self-timer and 320x240 15 fps video.

Can be used as a webcam at 20fps.

Overall it's very handy for a day outdoors.

Strengths: Small, light weight, rechargeable
Weaknesses: No flash, poor zoom , poor focus, poor instructions on manual, software no user-friendly
Summary: This camera is more of an out door cam than anything else, you can use it to take still pictures in the park or anywhere else that offers exellent lighting. Can be a cool spy cam. I would not recommend for indoors no matter what time of day. Software is not too user friendly. Not for people who know little about computers.

1 Star ReviewThis camera takes decent pictures in bright summer ...
Strengths: Tiny size, geek "cool".
Weaknesses: Poor picture quality (and sometimes no picture at all!) in all but the most perfect conditions.
Summary: This camera takes decent pictures in bright summer sunlight, outside, with motionless subjects and a steady hand. Otherwise, forget it. Inside, even in normal lighting, there's an intolerable amount of digital noise. Tone the lighting down some more (e.g. dance club, party) and your picture will come out either totally black or with a few little splotches of light. Throw in the poor firmware (camera freezes and refuses to turn off; shutter button is unreliable so its use as an impulsive-picture-taking camera is quite limited), and even for $60-80 it's a ripoff. I'm sending mine back and spending the extra money on a Sony U30, hopefully with more luck.

Weaknesses: no flash
Summary: This camera didn't really work out for me. I wanted a multi-use camera. This camera would be great for people who are looking for point n' shoot outdoor photography.
