Strengths: sub-compact size, lightweight, reasonable resolution, macro feature
Weaknesses: poor quality in bad light, poor battery standby time, small memory.
Summary: I got this camera because of its size and weight (only 40g). I think it's the smallest 2Mpix camera available. There's even a 3M mode, but it's interpolated, so I wouldn't bother. The size is very nice, I would still prefer that lens does not extend that much, it would be more convenient to carry. It gets decent pictures in good light conditions outdoors, otherwise it gets unacceptably grainy. It's also quite slow in the 2M mode, so it's rather for still images. The memory is 16MB which I find too little for a day out, but it's fixed, so you cannot expand it. The fixed battery is adequate for this memory, but gets flat after several days even if you don't take any pictures, so you need to remember to recharge it, which is sometimes awkward. It charges through its USB port, so you need a computer to charge it (quite a heavy charger to carry sometimes). On one hand this is simple, on the other you don't always want to carry your notebook with you if you're travelling light, or in extreme conditions. It's so small it's sometimes hard to point correctly at the target - one needs to get used to it. The provided software could have a better designed user interface. It only works with Microsoft windows. Other features include self-timer and 320x240 15 fps video. Can be used as a webcam at 20fps. Overall it's very handy for a day outdoors.
