Summary: 2003-01-03 13:52:57 I purchased this item specifically for the tuner and record-from-tuner capability, as well as the 30 second delay when recording from the tuner. The tuner in this model is totally unacceptable, as it will not tune a station in when set to the exact station frequency. If you want to listen to a station on 102.5 and you try that setting, the reception is lousy. If you tune to 102.4 or 102.6 then you get better reception, but still not in stereo. I have tried this in several cities with the same results. When i wrote to Archos, they confirmed that this is the case and had no solutions to offer, claiming that an FM tuner is a difficult item to perfect. The advantage of the 30 second delay when recording from the tuner is negated when you cannot tune a station in clearly. I have since returned this product and would not reccommend it to anyone looking for an MP3 player/recorder - there are better models out there that tune FM stations in just fine.
