Strengths: Mp3 Player, good sound quality
Weaknesses: Display looks a little boring
Summary: 2005-12-30 16:21:40 I bought this mp3 player to replace the Aiwa that was stollen from the car. The main feature is the capability of playing mp3, which it does, in very good conditions. The sound quality of the radio is also very good, so bottom line, this is a good product for the price and I recommend it.

Strengths: Cheap price, clear crisp sound, play MP3, WMA, CD-R/RW, and a lot of other features
Weaknesses: Very plain display mode, NO auxiliary input which will be easy to use your Ipod
Summary: It was my first Car CD receiver which replaces the factory radio/cassette player. It is very good experience, the sound is much better. It can also play MP3, WMA, actually it is one of the biggest point I get this one, of course it is also cheap, compared with other expensive model. Some weakness include, very plain display mode (kind of boring for a while) and no auxiliary input, which will make it convenient to use Ipod or other MP3 players.

Strengths: Great sound, Displays ID3 tag info for MP3/WMA tracks, random folder/disc option, easy to use
Weaknesses: Display somewhat hard to see in bright light, slow scrolling display
Summary: This radio/player is exactly what I wanted. It recognized all the MP3 CD-Rs I tried and displayed the ID3 tags/CD-Text perfectly (several display options). The sound quality is excellent and has 6 customizable sound modes (bass/treble/loudness). Unfortunately it does not save a separate sound mode for each source AM/FM/CD or individual stations, but it is easy to change the mode as needed.

Although the display is somewhat hard to read during a bright day, it looks really great at night (multi-colors).

It has 18 FM and 6 AM presets, repeat, shuffle folder/disk, several display options, Sirius ready, supports addition of a cd-changer, external input.

I would recommend this player to anyone!

Strengths: Plays MP3/WMA, Sirius ready, good sound, ID3 tag, remote
Weaknesses: eq only for treble and bass, no mids, no aux input
Summary: I bought this unit on sale @ circuit city for 90 bucks plus install parts. for 90 bucks I can't complain, however if I paid full price i'd be a little pissed that it's missing some features you can find on other $140 units, such as better EQ, aux input, etc. The player sounds very good. AM/FM are nice and the MP3 capability is great, though the sound of MP3's lacks fullness compared to normal WAV files. All in all, i'm happy, but not blown away.

Weaknesses: for now none

JVC has a good reputation. I was looking for a Pioneer, but for the price. I will continue with the JVc brand
