Strengths: Really does copy and burn CDs Weaknesses: Does not include software that supports the claims made by the manufacturer. What technical support? Summary: As far as I can tell, this unit is capable of doing what the manufacturer claims it can do. Unfortunately, the company also claimed that the Nero software accompanying the CD writer would do all kinds of wonderful things. What they didn't say was that the wonderful software was not completely included with the unit. The "basic" Nero does not fulfill the manufacturer's claims and neither the real software or the technicians that might be able to help me with some operating issues are available without paying more money or waiting a really long time. 100% of People (2/2) found this review helpful. Strengths: This drive offers the best price for an external USB CDRW at it's speed. Weaknesses: The drive is a little heavy for it's size and function. Summary: The drive arrived on time and does everything the manufacturer stated that it would. It shipped with a basic copy of Nero's burning software like it stated. Strengths: It didn't work long enough for me to notice any Weaknesses: It didn't work long enough for me to notice any Summary: It stopped writing after 3 or 4 burns. After a couple of months I finally returned it to Buslink. (I kept thinking I could make it work, then put it aside and kept using my zip drive for back up.) They replaced it with one that was broken in that the media door would not open, and something was rattling around in the case. But I hadn't hooked it up right away cause of how life sometimes gets, and by now it's warrantee period was over.
