Strengths: Real Flat monitor 0.24 mm Aperture Grille tube 1920 x 1440
Weaknesses: none
Summary: So far a very good monitor for the money. I gave it a 5 not because I think it's a perfect monitor but because it meets my expectations as to what you can get if you only wnat to pay ~300 for a 19" monitor. Prior to buying this monitor I had bought two Viewsonic A90f's and though I liked the picture quality I returned them both (Bestbuy) because the capacitors made an extremely high pitched ringing noise expecially in standby, like a supersonic dental drill. Thankfully I've not yet had this problem with the Philips. I managed to improve the color quality quite a bit by tweaking the color setting on my Radeon 9600 card.

All in all I think it's a superior monitor compared to the Viewsonic.Better picture quality, smaller frame, no ringing capacitors.

GO Philips GO
