Summary: If you want to use tele or wide lens for Canon G3, this converter is a must-have. It's very light weight, and can be easily put on and off the camera. I love my Canon G3, and with this converter and all the other add-on (lens, flashlight, etc), taking pictures is much more fun. One thing that could go wrong with this converter, though - you need to read and follow the instruction to put it onto the camera, because you can put it onto the camera from the wrong direction. I made the mistake when I was in a hurry to take a picture. Even though you can certainly take it off by pulling it out without hurting anything, but you may not want to do that every time.

I bought the adapter so I can use the MR-14EX macr ...

Strengths: Same color as my G3 (silver). Attaches easily and fits well. MR-14EX also fits well on the adapter.

Weaknesses: Cannot place lens cover on when adapter in place. When resting the body of the camera on a flat surface, the adapter does not allow the body to sit completely and pressure is placed on the adapter.

Summary: I bought the adapter so I can use the MR-14EX macro ring lite flash with my G3. I called Canon and asked what I need in order to fit the ring flash. They said I needed both the LA-DC58B and a 58C Macro Ring Lite Adapter. I actually only need the LA-DC58B.

Strengths: good quality plastic attachment that makes switching lens easy

Weaknesses: must be careful with it! :)

Summary: Great for adding different lens. Made by Canon, so goes on and off easy and quickly. Makes taking pictures with the G3 even more fun. Light platic makes it more convenient, too.

Strengths: good quality product neccasary for the attachments

Weaknesses: seems to get a little sloppy with normal wear and tear

Summary: this is an adapter for the g-3 camera which i have been very happy with. sharp pictures and a good source of attachmets such as tele photo and wide angle as well as remote flash. very easy to use features for being creative in you photos.
