Strengths: Lightweight
Weaknesses: leakes water sometimes
Summary: It is a good iron for the amount of money, but you can get a better one for a whole lot of money but will perform very close to this product.

It has a steel soleplate which is good feature as it glides on clothes. A great iron for someone with arthritis

Strengths: Quality from Panasonic
Weaknesses: Cord retracts - not really needed.
Summary: 2008-07-03 07:47:18 I was using this iron that belonged to a friend and decided to buy one for myself. My old Black & Decker began to leak very badly, so I decided it was time to inquire about other irons. This one was highly recommnended. I borrowed it and really thought the quality was good - Panasonic seems to have quality in many of its products.

The retracting cord is handy, but it is not overly long so I had to use an extension cord anyway. This is not the feature that interested me the most.

The iron is light weight and easily slides over fabric. The steam is even and does NOT leak - an important aspect for my use. The dials are clearly marked and easy to interpret. Spray available as well as well as deep steam button.
