Strengths: Only 42 lbs-doesn't need to be self propelled.
Quiet-instead of wearing earplugs with the gas mower, I now wear headphones and listen to music while mowing.
It has plenty of power for a non gas mowe
Weaknesses: So far-none. I could say having to drag the cord around is a weakness-but that's just part of using a corded mower. I knew that before I bought it.
Summary: 2008-05-18 19:20:39 Be sure to use a good quality extension cord-14 gauge or larger. If you use a 16 gauge, the mower will not get the voltage and current it needs and probably shorten the life of the motor. And plug it into a good circuit that's not on the verge of being overloaded. A few years ago I had to add a 20 amp circuit for the power miter saw. That's a good place to plug it into. If the lights in your home dim when you run it, it's a good idea to use another circuit or add one.
Adjusting the wheel height is easy-just grab one lever and all wheels go up or down. Assembly-there is none. All you do is unfold the handle and tighten knobs. No tools required. The mower stops if you let go of the handle, but there's no rope to pull. Just grab the motor control and it's running again. So easy to use.
And 1 more thing-not having to smell gas fumes is great. The only thing that bothers me now is grass pollen.
