Summary: I bought this vacuum to replace a previous dyson that was water-damaged. i think i had an older model that was white and orange. This one is lighter weight and more easy to get into smaller spaces. The only things I preferred in the older model were: it was easier to push even though heavier, the cord was longer, and the canister was bigger so it held more. I've never been one to sweep until we got this (I normally left it up to my wife). Now I don't mind it when I have to come home and sweep. We have a "shedless" dog and this sweep magically picks up the what small amount of hair it does shed. I'd highly recommend this sweeper to anybody who can afford it.
