Strengths: Sharp & Brilliant bright picture HD HD Tuner built in DLP technology. Look a lot better than analog TV that was Toshiba brand.
Weaknesses: not sure. I am not that into electronics
Summary: from side, picture still look sharp. no angle is bad like the old type of LCD. Bright, color is great. I got it at an awesome price. Love it. installed indoor regular antenna and was able to receive HD Signals. I really cannot see any cons about this TV since just upgraded from an analog TV. But i can say, it is brighter than my daughter's Plasma HD TV and hers was 3x my price 3 years ago without HD tuner built-in!

Controls is easy understand. I like the idea where you can name your own video selection (ie: video 1, Video 2, etc.. rename to Receiver, DVD, etc etc). very good idea !!! then trying to remember what input or output was for what.

Strengths: Picture quality can be so incredible that it will bring tears to your eyes. It depends on the source as to how good the picture is. But it takes most anything and makes it look great. SD looks Great!
Weaknesses: Onboard speakers are really bad. This isn't usually something you check or can in the stores and just take it for granted that they'll be fine. Not in this case.
Summary: I have had this unit for over three months and daily I consider my luck that I was able to get it. Although I wanted the LED version that just mysteriously disappear as this one is. This lamp version is becoming harder and harder to find. I was able to get a great price and haggle a great third party 4 year warranty through CircuitCity. I lucked out big time! It takes any source and makes it look great. I don't have the quality problems that you do with SD programming you do with LCD's and DVD's look HD broadcast perfect. Can't wait for my Samsung Blu-ray DVD (BD-P2550). That should really kick-butt.

My only regret is that the onboard speakers aren't so good and that really surprises me and there are no jacks to hook up externals like every set I have had before. The second I can come up with a way to hook up the monitors I have been using . . . I will. Otherwise, I am using my 7.1 SSAV receiver much more than I have. But with HD you get true 5.1 SS other than just plain stereo. This set has many features and features that make using the newer Sammy Blu-rays (BD-P2550) plug and play. Just do it if you can, you won't be disappointed. I have friends with larger LCD's and Plasma's that just can't compare to this DLP, which I have always suspected would be the case. That is why I waited, but I waited a tad too long and missed out on the 50" LED version (11 Year Life Span) which you can get in 56" and up. A tad too large for me at the moment. But by the time this needs to be replaced, we'll have new technology that will hopefully be the same quality if not better as this and choosing a new set will be easy. Which with the way Samsung is going I'm confident it won't be a problem. After being a Pioneer only Technotard I am severely happy with this Samsung set on most all fronts.
